What the hell is a Larfleeze? It sounds like it needs to be treated with antibiotics. The poster child for the Orange Lanterns whose rigs are fueled by greed/avarice. The more he wants something the stronger his ring is and is about as one dimensional as you can get.. Just another outgrowth of Geoff Johns rainbow lanterns, but yes the name sounds like it should be sneezed not spoken. -M

Well Timmy, it's bad news. Lassie has been infested with Larfleeze. We're going to have to put her down.

Wheres Agatha Harkness been parking her broom lately? I always had a soft spot for old Giant-Man villians. Has anyone seen Egg Head or The Human Top recently? I don't know about Agatha Harkness, but the Salem Seven just put in an appearance in the new New Warriors book a couple of months ago. According to Wikipedia, Egghead appeared in flashback in Fall of the Hulks: Alpha in 2010. The Human Top changed his name to Whirlwind and continues to appear throughout the Marvel Universe.

Hawkeye accidentally killed him during the whole fall of Hank Pym saga. Of course they probably bought him back at some point.

Where is the Spook now? I have several 70's Batman issues with him on the cover and while nothing special, the covers always grab me (part of that horror element always gets me on a cover)

Wanda killed her during Avengers disassembled and kept her mummy around, all Norman Bates-like. Agatha's corpse might have been what a then-amnesiac Wanda was later hiding in her Transia apartment. (But if I read the solicitations right, that Wanda turned out to be a doombot, so I don't know what top believe now).

How about Victoria Bentley from the old Doctor Strange series? I don't know if she's ever appeared since she was a semi-regular supporting character for several issues in the 60s.

Apparently she was killed in Avengers Vol. 1 after befriending the Black Knight and died while fighting a silly villain names Bloodwraith. According to the wiki Deadpool was also involved (circa Avengers 366 or so I guess). I remember Bloodwraith form that period but was part of the jacket-wearing X-wannabe Harras Avengers run, so a lot of it blurs in my minds. -M

If Marvel ever starts doing supernatural comics again I'd like to see her brought back, whether in a Doctor Strange series or elsewhere. And while they're at it, they can bring back Jennifer Kale and Rachel Van Helsing, who I understand have also been pointlessly killed off.

Jennifer Kale was just killed off in Avengers by Bendis just before the whole Marvel Now relaunch. She was killed by Victoria Hand being possessed by the ghost of Brother Voodoo's brother trying to get revenge on the Avengers for the death of Jericho Drumm or something like that.

I have several appearances of the Spook, Detective #435 and #436, and also one from around #490, and I always thought he had a lot of potential for a really solid second-tier villain.
I didn't know he was dead. But I'm sure that was an important plot development because we needed to know what a badasss Damian is and the author couldn't think of any way to show it except by killing a character the author didn't like.
Glad I missed it.

So many characters killed off for no very good reason.
Sometimes it is very easy not to read any new comics at all.

Where is the Bat-Squad from Brave and the Bold 92 (Nov, 1970)? I think, as I've written before, that these three may be the only DC characters from the Silver Age (late, admittedly) never to reappear anywhere. It seems everyone else has, if only in a panel in "Crisis."
