Tackling people with legal hits ("Bountygate") is not "cheating." Spying on the other team is, and tampering with the equipment surely is.
Payton's penalty should be the floor for the punishment of the lying crooked cheaters Bellechick and Brady. I'd recommend they both be suspended for five years, starting today.
It won't happen because Goodell is a crook and a fraud -- and not coincidentally also a great friend of the Patriots.

You are correct. The only time people care about cheating is when it's the Patriots. That's why you were unable to cite any examples of others cheating.

He actually did name a few, and even many of the pros who have weighed in on the issue have said it's neither shocking or unusual in the sport. It really is the definition of a storm in a teacup, and if I were a fan of conspiracies I'd probably say that the NFL and news networks are hyping this infraction so much so in the hopes of giving the superbowl and news casts leading up to it higher ratings. |
