Here's one of many I could have chosen.

Talk about an embarrassment of riches. Even with a couple of my first choices taken already, there are still too many to choose from. I'm going w/a cool cover on one of my favorite X-Men issues

This is going to take me a while to choose: both my own entry and my pick for winner.
Do I go for something obvious, or something more obscure? Decisions, decisions.

Both Rob Allen's pick and benday-dot's pick were in my final three when I was deciding on my own choice. I haven't made up my mind yet which cover I am going to vote for, but I might be a little bit biased towards Rob's pick...

Rather than knock myself out, I decided to just pick one from the many options available to me. Ultimately this one being a front and back cover spread, and so had even more glorious art to marvel over, swung the pendulum its way.

A Phantom Stranger cover was my second choice.....won't say which one but it wasn't far numerically from the one you chose.... -M There's a brilliant run of Adams covers around then. Any one you pick is great. I almost went with PS 19, but this one hits me a little harder. I had been going through a bunch of voodoo themed covers the last 2 das sorting some horror books, so PS 15's Machine Messiah was the one standing out for me.... -M

Not 100% certain, but the composition looks like something from Frederic Remington. I'll take a look at his work and see if I can find something similar.

I'm going out of the box Neal Adams...no super heroes, no horror comics. Small press stuff
