If you want the pic to be bigger in the post, you need to add an image using a URL. If you have a photo-hosting site, use that URL, or some folks hotlink images from other sites. In the toolbar is a button for inserting image and when you click that it gives you a pop up just like the old forums used to have, except you cannot do it as an attachment that way. -M

I almost picked Detective Comics #400 instead of #385.

Not 100% certain, but the composition looks like something from Frederic Remington. I'll take a look at his work and see if I can find something similar. I can't find the specific painting I was thinking of, but I can't shake the feeling I've seen something very similar from Remington.

Super hard to pick, and he's done hundreds of great covers.
So difficult, but if I had to pick one, this is dynamic and gripping. It's a prime example of his best work IMO. What makes Neal so ahead of the curve ?
This.
This is why Neal is the second greatest artistic influence in comics, trumped only by Kirby IMHO.

None. It's the Avengers index with Captain Marvel and the Defenders too.

They both appeared during the same era, anyway. Avengers-Defenders War in Avengers #116-118 was running at the same time as the bi-monthly original Thanos saga in Captain Marvel that eventually crossed over into Avengers #125. My question about the cover is how Vision is shooting energy beams from his hands rather than his eyes.

Yes,I looked thru Remington's paintings as well and that image of Adam's Tomahawk cover isn't there. But I'm so positive it came from some other source. I would hope someone in this community can say authoritatively yes or no

Well, obviously that's the Vision of Earth-313, where Mar-Vell and Val were charter members of the Avengers.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was for me to find a cover that met my private rule for playing this game! But I found one: Far, far, far from my favorite Neal Adams work, but it was all I could find...
