There's a Image first $1 issue of Fatale #1 that could lower your costs. I actually have most of the run in floppies in my pile of stuff for the CCE as I replaced them with trades as they came out, so if you want to maybe work out a trade or some such, PM me. If not cool, I just want to find them a decent home -M

The only current series I am seriously invested in is East of West. Both the artwork and the plot knock me out.

I noticed that the final issue of Fatale is hitting the shops today. Anyone following this series? I had been thinking of checking it out, but when I heard that it was going to end soon, I decided to wait until I could pick up the entire series and read it all the way through. Is it worth getting the whole thing? I've been reading this in the TPB collections, and have really enjoyed it. The sense of mystery with the Lovecraftian background of dread give it a great feel. I'm looking forward to the last volume, and I'm glad they're actually ending it (and presumably resolving the mystery) rather than dragging it out forever, even though I have enjoyed the trip.

I'm so done with Heavyink. This was the last straw. They've failed to deliver a handful of comics I've ordered in the past. Always popular sellout titles. But they never charged me for them either, just put them in the "running late" section of my orders. This time though, they charged me for Life With Archie #36 and didn't send it. It's in my invoice and everything, the double sized magazine issue. They'll probably issue a refund when I complain, but I preordered this comic months ago, and now it's selling for $50 on eBay. I can't buy it with a refund.

Yeah I was looking forward to that issue a lot for the past several weeks. I'm waiting on their reply, but I'm probably closing my account and going to DCBS now.

Anyone know the story on this? Seems to have been issued with a vinyl single. It's (allegedly) already sold out and going for 4x cover.

Oh that's Tom Neely, isn't it? He did the blot, which was really, REALLY good (and almost self-published, so moving up to Image is a major advancement.) I think he also drew some Danzig slash-fic.

Avengers #33 Kind of losing interest in this now. Doesn't help that the focus is on Cap, who I find pretty hard to side with. 3/5
Avengers World #10 Lovely art, but too many plot threads. A bit too SHIELD-centric for me, I prefer my Avengers more super-hero and less super-spy. Dropped. 3/5
Batman Eternal #17 The mystical plotline is probably my least favourite at the minute, but it's serviceable. Joker's Daughter is still a ridiculous character. 3/5
Detective Comics Annual 2014 Pretty standard Batman story, probably could have been squeezed into a normal sized issue without losing anything. Not a fan of the multiple artist per book thing. 3/5
New Avengers #21 In contrast to adjective less Avengers, really enjoying this. Pretty epic stuff. Nice to see Namor take the initiative. 4/5
Original Sin - Hulk vs Iron Man #3 Silly retcons aside, fairly readable. Nice reminder that Bruce is pretty clever too, but done without making Tony look like an idiot. Hoping for a twist in the final issue with regards to historic events, pretty sick of the whole 'everything must be connected' schtick. 3/5
Robots In Disguise #31 Strong issue. The title's always going to suffer in comparison to the excellent 'More Than Meets the Eye', but this issue sparked some hope in me that there might be some potential in the 'back to Earth' premise. Some top quality banter from Galvatron. 4/5

I am mostly happy with Marvel's move to make "Secret Avengers" a quirky book like Superior Foes and Hawkeye, but so far the book hasn't been quite as clever as those two. Loving the art though. Those facial expressions are priceless.
