Hi All what are some of the best newer comics from DC, IMAGE, IDW, DYNAMITE etc to read right now in your opinion ? Dude, that font... In no particular order, here's what I've been digging lately: Atomic Robo Astro City (technically published by DC) MARVEL Daredevil She-Hulk (current series just wrapped up) Silver Surfer Powers (not a Marvel book as such, but they publish it through their Icon imprint) Squirrel Girl (wonderful fun comic for all ages) Hawkeye (new series just started even though the previous one hasn't finished yet don't even get me started) Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man IMAGE Saga Manhattan Projects Black Science Chew (I'm way behind)

It's an odd time to give recommendations for Marvel and DC, as we don't really know what books will even be around post SecretConvergenceWar, let alone who the creators behind them will be. I know was just curious what you all were reading etc.

I read the first issue of the latest Ant Man series, but didn't care for it for personal reasons. A lot of people seem to like it though.

Hi All what are some of the best newer comics from DC, IMAGE, IDW, DYNAMITE etc to read right now in your opinion ? From Marvel, I'm really enjoying Guardians 3000. Classic characters that I've been missing (Charlie 27, the original Yondu with the big flag on his head, Martinex, etc) with an interesting twist that time is broken due to all the past screwing around with it in the Marvel universe.

Nice ending to Robinson's Invaders... too bad it never found it's footing... he writes a great Namor (even within the hideous bounds of acknowledging the Hickman nonsense), and Radiance and Iron Cross were both interesting new characters with good potential. I think the Deathlok story was too long, and then he got derailed by crossovers... fitting Sam in instead of Steve Rogers, and dealing with both that and Namor being evil elsewhere really shifted the focus of the book. I totally want to see what the follow-up is with teh Golden Age Vision and the Eternals, the martian invasion of Britain, etc.. that stuff is alot more interesting than most of what Marvel's got going one. Robinson (in the last page) claims he's going to finish that stuff in his next Marvel book... we'll see who that goes.
His FF, OTOH, is rushed and over bearing, and doesn't fit in with anything else... should the Heroes Reborn universe invading New York be important? I mean, he has other characters (mostly the Mighty Avengers) 'on screen'. No way this whole thing resolves itself well in one more issue.
Also, Killer Croc, is by far, the best New 52 character out there... it's amazing how interesting they've made such a throw away, one note villain.... he turns up in Gotham Academy, and it's pretty epic. I wasn't sold on the book at first (I would have probably dropped it if my daughter didn't like it) but the first storyline ended up being pretty awesome. I'm concerned they're going to drag it into the DCU too much (Damian Wayne's apparently being added to the cast), but I'll give it a shot, since I like Damian.

Sorry to disrupt the discussion, but you'll note we now have three entire sections for discussing current comics as of about 8 minutes ago I'm locking this thread as it's now superfluous, but if you'd like any posts from it moved to the new locations, just shoot me a pm.
