Black Widow has a series.
I'd like Sif or Valkyrie.

In my life, I've bought two Marvel comics with a female lead. Those were the first two issues of Spider-Girl. I can't think of any female Marvel super hero that would get me to buy a comic book.
But there is another that Disney owns. And I'll be buying Princess Leia's comic when it comes out next year.

Other than Batman '66, I'm not reading any Big Two books without a female lead.

If they did "replace" it with another female, who is most likely to get a shot? Not sure. They seem to be setting up Wanda (Scarlet Witch) for as more prominent role in Axis based on what I have seen of solicitations (I'm not reading it), but usually the events result in a slate of launches, so it is likely something launching from either Axis or the Edge of Spider-Verse event (I have seen lots of stuff surrounding the Gwen Stacy spider-character so that could be something, but who knows. THere's already a 'Spider-Gwen' series on tap (yes, they're calling it that) as well as Silk.. I think CBR had those in the last Axel interview (or maybe a Spiderverse interview)... not sure if that's 'replacing' She-Hulk, but they are happening.

I'm so out of the loop (I only buy Captain Marvel and read Ms Marvel and She-Hulk on Unlimited) I don't know what Axis is. I'm not sure I'd check out a Wanda book. I thought Gwen already had a book, but that would make sense. I was thinking/hoping for Spider-Woman or Daughters of the Dragon (but that's my pipe dream). Spiderwoman already has a series (or maybe it's starting next month).. there was a bit to-do on CBR about a (some thought) too 'sexy' cover... that's why the Gwen book is going to be 'Spider-Gwen', so people aren't confused, or so Marvel says.

Black Widow has a series. I'd like Sif or Valkyrie. I'd buy a Sif series. Since Sif's got a following from the films, go with a established character.
I would buy a new Witches series, like the one they did a while back; Satanna, Topaz & Jennifer Kale. Or bring in Clea every now and then.

Well Squirrel Girl launches the month She-Hulk ends. And Sif recently had a solo series in Journey into Mystery that tanked sales wise too.

The 2 female Marvel characters I always thought could hold their own series were Black Widow and Valkyrie.

The 2 female Marvel characters I always thought could hold their own series were Black Widow and Valkyrie. Black Widow currently has her own series, and Valkyrie was the lead of the Fearless Defenders series that only lasted 12 issues due to poor sales recently, so I doubt she will get a solo shot anytime soon. Misty Knight was the co-lead of the book, so I wouldn't look for a Daughters of the Dragon book anytime soon either. -M

Yeah, Black Widow has a series, and I'm glad she finally does.
While Valkyrie was in the latest Defenders series, I don't think that was a fair representation of the character. I still think she could hold her own series.

I still think she could hold her own series. From a corporate point of view... Strike One-Fearless Defenders didn't do well...Valkyrie doesn't sell Strike Two-Journey into Mystery featuring Sif, another warrior women with Asgardian background, didn't do well...warrior woman lead doesn't sell Strike Three-Asgardian warrior woman role now filled by new Thor so won't steal that thunder...avoid brand confusion keep Thor in spotlight as it is a proven seller add in no movie or TV appearance schedules for Valkyrie...game over-no series featuring her. -M

Yeah, I get it.
In the current environment, maybe it's true, but I still think she has the stuff to hold her own series.

I read Batgirl #35 and Arkham Manor #1 today.
Batgirl felt more like Marvel than DC. It's only one issue in, and the competition isn't that stiff, but it may end up being my favorite book since New 52. I look forward to DC's upcoming event ruining it.
Didn't care for Arkham Manor at all.

Kathryn Immonen's Sif series from last year started out a little slow, but was one of my favorite Marvel books after 3 or so issues. Sad it didn't last.
