Definitely good to see some familiar faces returning. What 2 will you be pulling Coldwater? Is there anything coming out at all you like fuzzyblueelf? -M I will be pulling Nightcrawler and Amazing X-Men. I may eventually add the Inhumans to that because I absolutely love Medusa. If whatevewhatever major event that is supposed to be happening actually has Alpha Flight involved in it, and they end up getting a mini or something out of it, I'll definitely be pulling that. I'll probably pull most things with Quicksilver, Nightcrawler, Northstar, Meggan Braddock, or anything with any Alpha Flight member in it. But they have to be solidly in it/a mainstay. I'm not going to commit to pulling a book because Meggan Braddock is answering a phone in half a panel.

All-New X-Factor to be cancelled at Issue #20. I love Quicksilver and Polaris and wanted more interaction between them so this was great for me and having Gambit around wasn't bad either this series also made me a fan of Danger, Warlock and Doug so I'm really bothered by the cancellation because all it will result in is Quicksilver solely on the Avengers (Because despite being a Speedster Marvel can't comprehend him being on more than one team) and having Polaris, Gambit, Danger, Warlock and Doug in limbo or given to writers who will use them as wallpaper. Right there with you. I love PAD and will support pretty much anything he writes, so when the previous X-Factor was cancelled and this was announced shortly thereafter, I was completely onboard. He takes characters that others either have broken (Gambit and Polaris) or have no idea what to do with (pretty much the rest of the roster) and makes them interesting and viable, but since there really aren't any sexy names on the team, it remains a fringe book.
As for your comment about being done as a monthly reader, I'm close myself. I pull one DC book (Aquaman) and a handful of Marvel books (Moon Knight and X-Factor right now, as well as the upcoming Iron Man and Captain America books), but for a guy that was pulling 50 books a month twenty years ago and 20 books a month five years ago, that's a pretty steep drop-off. The majority of the new books, particularly if they aren't involving A-List characters, will last fewer than 24 issues (with most lasting 12 or fewer), so I try not to get invested in them.

Is there anything coming out at all you like fuzzyblueelf? -M I like Transformers' current series and I wanted to get more of Rat Queens! I have the first trade and it's amazing! I was interested in Flash and Aquaman but I don't hear much good for Flash's current series (Which is a shame as I picked up Rogues Revolution recently and enjoyed it!) and as for Aquaman I read a few of his recent issues and enjoyed them I liked his "Others" team I was reading Magneto monthly but I've decided to drop it until Polaris' appearances because whilst I enjoyed it, the issue with the Flashbacks to Pietro and Wanda being married to Crystal and Vision respectively alongside another flashback to Rogueneto just made me think "Nope, don't want" because I dislike all those pairings and avoid all of them when I can.

I think Fuzzy was the one who first told me that ANXF was cancelled. My heart dropped. I loveloveloveloveLOVE that book. That book was so good. I love PAD and I love his X-Factor-anythings. It was a sad, sad day. I'll never be okay with that cancellation. I am very bitter and angry about it.

I will never understand why you like Vision. From the time I first encountered him until his dismantling by Stern in Absolute Vision and subsequent destruction by Byrne over in West Coast Avengers, The Vision was my absolute favorite Marvel character. Except for a few brief moments in Busiek's Avengers, I don't think anything worthwhile or interesting has been done with the character since Byrne got his grubby hands on him. -M

I think PAD may not be writing anything for Marvel for a while which is probably for the best as he doesn't really get any promotion or backing by Marvel. The thing with me is I get too invested in the characters who are considered unimportant by Marvel and as a result I don't have much to read about them and when I do it gets cancelled is the upcoming Captain America with Sam Wilson as Cap? I was interested in the but if it's Remender still writing I don't care for it.

He has Wonder Man's brain patterns, Jim Hammond's body parts, created by Ultron and had a relationship with Wanda none of that is Vision offering anything as a character. I'd prefer if they made him how we saw him in Earth's Mightiest Heroes simply an Android who rebelled against Ultron as a result of his evolving AI developing emotions not borrowing traits from several characters, not an allegory for people just him being a heroic robot.

As a kid, I always thought he had an interesting power set that always made him visually appealing on the page, and the idea of the supposedly emotionless plastic man having more essential core humanity than a lot of people around him made for an interesting story hook for me. His struggle for acceptance through most of the Thomas and Englehart runs was a stroyline that hooked me and was doing the whole struggling in a world that hates and fer me while the X-Men were a dormant and essentially forgotten franchise and the All New X-Men were not even a twinkle in Len Wein's eye yet. He was more than the sum of his parts, and stories like Even an Android Can Cry were part of the very fabric which made Marvel what it is compared to other shared universes. I think later writers struggled with what to do with him, and kept adding crap and those accretions made he character more and more untenable and moved him away from the core of what made him interesting until you get drek like the Byrne West Coast Avengers storyline. But then you seem to like Quicksilver and I always found him dull, one note, and uninteresting, even after PAD got his hands on him, so it's a case of ymmv I think. -M
