Here's the thing: Trump's platform is fantastic. Trump's status as a total political outsider standing toe-to-toe with a slimy career politician is awe-inspiring. Trump's character is lacking. He's impulsive, immature and not particularly intelligent. Which is the shits, because if another billionaire came in with the exact same platform but had a truly presidential head on his shoulders it would be amazing. Hence, Batman. Huge celebrity, incredible business tycoon who has created thousands upon thousands of jobs, strong stance on law and order, not soft in any way, shape or form. But on top of that he's extremely intelligent, he's dignified, he keeps his cool in the face of adversity. Hell yeah let's get rid of these goons and bring in Batman. Wayne 2016. He has a platform? Of course he does. What do you think is holding up that hair?

Thank you. That was exactly my thought. I say it jokingly, but I'm serious too. I've been to his website to see what his policies are and other than the bit about the wall he's never coherently spoken about any of those points...which means they aren't important to him and heck even if they were they are so vague so as you'd be hard pressed to say they were achievable.

He wants to kill the people I want to see dead. That's enough of a platform for me. ... Hm, on second thought maybe Batman isn't the candidate for me. On to Plan B then: (expired image link)Ah, that's better.

I'd also expect a crook like Hilary to end up in the big house instead of the White House. Regular expectations (or plain old hopes) don't seem to hold any water this election. So since that's a write-off I'm just rooting for the person who wants to kill the people that I want dead.

Well, he did state he wanted to bring down corporate tax to a flat 15%, which would cost the treasury 5,9 trillion dollars over the next decade, according to the conservative-leaning Tax Foundation. His entire worldview when it comes to money is the thoroughly unsound principle of trickle down economics: that if you lower tax rates to the rich and deregulate their businesses, they will use their money to stimulate the economy and create zillions of jobs. We saw what happened in the past with that mentality. An ever-increasing gap between the poorest and the obscenely richest, an ever-increasing job insecurity, a vanishing middle class, a government having a hard time to make ends meet. Back in that legendary Golden Age of the US, the 1950s, tax rates were way higher than today. That didn't keep the country from being prosperous and offering hope to everyone. On the contrary, a more egalitarian redistribution of riches probably made for a better society... one that would go on to make great strides in social aspects in the following decade. Trump has no idea what he's talking about. He's probably a shrewd businessman, but that does not make one an economist. He reminds me of a school bully stealing lunch money from smaller kids and calling himself a financial genius. Yes, it works in a schoolyard... but probably not on the scale of an entire country. As for the other qualities a president should have, the man seems strikingly devoid of anything resembling them.

She's certainly not my favorite, but Trump seems to have done more criminal things and gotten away with them too so I figure the score's even there which leaves actual, sound policies that don't involve, "Well, I want to shoot the brown people"

As for the rest, I'm Canadian. I don't care about American domestic policy, it's no sweat off my balls. I don't even care that much about Canadian domestic policy. Politics are a sham the whole world over and none of it really makes a difference, and even if it did I don't really care one way or the other. All I care about is seeing certain groups of individuals get blown up so I push my meager stack of worthless chips in the corner of the person who will probably do that, versus the person on their payroll.

I actually had to look it up, and I usually don't like deriding others with opposing views but yeah, there really isn't a nicer way to say it other than it's delusional.
