Thanks .... to be fair I always marched to the beat of my own drummer in a way. Did my own things and was the type as Pip and others will tell you that was more like them trying to control Rowdy Roddy Piper in a sense. No way it would have worked.

I get that you are upset, but the "no thank you" thread did seem harsh, considering what Jonah said he was trying to do. glad to see so many familiar faces are here tho! |

Touche. Shoot, I'd pay money for an easy way to keep my old threads easily... And I guess there will be a lot less people and discussions to mods, so their workload should be improving soon.  Actually, it's his business, Jonah is the one who should be paying. As for the workload… that's the bitch; if it's small, they'll be able to run a tight ship, but if it gets to where it was, they'll face the same problem. And of course, less traffic means less advertising. |

As I posted Bert my pushing back in that thread was more shock. By the end of the thread I was trying to convince Shaxper to hang around . The Mods and Jonah explained the board wipe. I accepted that . I was like...I'll give it a chance. I mean when you have me sitting and going , ok I'm willing to give it a shot...and anyone could see I was. I was like...the Mods will get the Classics board back and the Wrasslin Sub Forum. This will be a new CBR and I'll play along. What got me was that thread got deleted , a thread where I asked a simple question and then them locking discussion boards and that one . It was like...WTF is happening here ? It was just insane to see this Bert. But not knowing where the line was where a thread gets deleted and all ...made me realize this New CBR was not for me anymore. I mean I even said I was gonna go there lol. |

I'm being entertained watching this fool respond to nearly every single post in the mega chat thread (in character) to (apparently) get his post count back up. he's over 400 in just two days! and SHOCKINGLY Cronin has not stepped in and said anything, despite several folks complaining that the mega chat is already too hard to follow without pointless posts gumming it up worse. if I get banned, I get banned. . I was gone for 4 years  |

That to me was an issue with the Mega Chat thread. Your throwing hundreds of people who clearly have their own cliques and all...and forcing them together. I sent a FB request to join the Rita's FB group. No answer back yet so hopefully they accept it .

By the way...this is the exact quote I got banned for when talking with someone else regarding the cover of Teen Titans #1. Me and another user had differing opinions on artistic approach within the comic book industry. I received a week ban for using the phrase "big knockers" once. People who throw around terms like "a PG-13 site," and then go about enforcing their concept of it, ought to precede their proclamations with a bit of research. According to the excellent Kirby Dick documentary film This Film Is Not Yet Rated, feature films can use the word "fuck" one time, and still receive the PG-13 rating (twice will get you an "R"). It's inconceivable that "big knockers" would not pass PG-13 muster. |

All that was really needed was better moderation and clearer guidelines. Deleting all the old, badly moderated threads along with all the good, useful threads from the past decade will sever to do one thing, though: Sweep CBR's accountability under the rug. I tend to agree. The logical move would have been along the lines of what you are saying with a warning of wiping the board and starting from scratch if things did not improve. I'm betting his lawyer told him to do it. He's never been super active in any part of the board I was familiar with, wondering if he's just going to get tired of it all one day? If it becomes too time consuming. |

Seriously. There are few things that piss people off more than telling them how they should feel, particularly when you just did something that upset them. Regardless of whether or not they think they are doing right, they had to know people would be upset. I'm surprised and disappointed at how callous they have been about it. It does seem like the play would have been to allow a week of venting before the clampdown. |

SuperECWFan got banned for wanting us all to stay.
And somehow driving people like Cei-U! away is Jonah's plan to make the forums a better place.
And we're starting fresh and doing it right this time, but rick is still banned.
The combination of those mistakes and deleting Rita's have convinced me I'm done.
I do think a good nuking was in order, but Jonah is rebuilding the boards into something I don't care to be a part of. Every new decision confirms that.
I like Jonah. I am extremely grateful to him for all the forums have given me. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple times and he's a wonderful guy. I wish him all the best and the forums all the best.
But I won't be there. It's been a good 8 years.
On this board, I get to be one of the cool kids who was here from the beginning, as opposed to the johnny-come-lately I've always been on CBR.
