I'm Very happy To report that after a week of vacation, I stayed just about the same in weight.
9-18-16 197.4 9-26-16 197.8
overall:
7-25-16 218.8 8-25-16 198.8 9-26-16 197.8
This is month of September, I went on essentially 2 weeks of vacation and have still gone down 1 pound in weight. It doesn't seem like much but I NEVER EVER came back from prior vacations without putting on 5 pounds. I start back at work today so, now I can go to my next benchmark of losing another 5 for 10-25-16.

One of the few positives of the upcoming separation (T-minus 19 days) will be having more time to actually go to the YMCA. Trying to decide how I want to spend my time there. I love swimming, but maybe it's time to get back into hitting the weight room. I'd probably use the machines as opposed to free weights (I always worry that I'll lift wrong and injure myself). Not sure what I'll do, but I hope I'll find something that feels good and makes me feel good about myself. I need that right now.
I've been sick for six months now due to being allergic to our dog. He is moving out with my wife, so that will be good. It will be nice to feel healthy again and then use that to hit the gym and feel even better. I really need to use my alone time WELL so that it makes me feel good instead of slowly killing me.

Exercising will do you good. Now you can find you again during this season in your life.

I know I am more active when I'm NOT at work plus I eat less & I eat healthier at home. Work causes me to stress eat (binge). 12 yrs until retirement!

Often the combination can be great. You are right there is a chance of hurting yourself, but if you are careful and dont overestimate how much you can lift its usually fine. Personaly I always love lifting weights because there is just something satisfying about knowing your limits and see them being pushed which I just dont get the same way with machines. Sure you can see that change to but with free weights it quite straight forward. Although with stuff like that its often a good idea to have someone to Work out with and help you if something goes wrong.
Btw guys its great seeing people working hard here. Its really a great motivation for me atleast.

I'm sticking with my exercise plan, but have really 'fallen off' my healthy eating. . . work just has me so down, I'm having trouble not burying my problems in food.
I'm trying, but need to stop eating out so much. . and absolutely need to stop snacking after 11pm. . a bad habit I've gotten back into.
as of Thursday, I was still at ~177.. so still under 180, and still holding at 68lbs lost.
but yeah, need to get my head back in the game here!

Hey bert, i think most , if not all, of us here use food as the drug to make us feel better. When I'm hungry I try to just eat more of the good food instead of the fast food junk That attracts weight. Try to Eat fruit if you hungry at night.

One thing that's been helping me a lot has been making home-cooked meals. Even if they're not particularly healthy, eating out exposes you to a lot more salt and preservatives that are terrible for you, make you feel bad, and take forever to leave your system. Just eating home-cooked can make a world of difference for how you feel and how much weight you lose. I can usually get a shopping trip done in 15 minutes and spend 45 minutes cooking, leaving enough leftovers for the next day. Basically, I cook three times a week and eat unhealthy on Fridays. And I didn't know I could cook, but there are some really really simple recipes online. I just think about what I want to eat and find a recipe to match it. Lasagna tonight, by the way

I keep it real simple. Every morning I make a simple salad of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers , onions , and cilantro. I also make tuna with mayo and take a banana. I'm buy the protein outside. Sometimes rotisserie chicken or sometimes chicken sandwiches in a fast food place and throw out the buns. I also take fruit like oranges with me. That has been the menu for the most part of my last 2 months.

Swimming is an excellent exercise and I swim about 5-7 miles a week with Water Polo Practices and Matches that I attend. Today, I swam about 2 1/2 miles (average) today and I'm very tired and sore after playing a double match today of which we won one and loss one. I occasionally hit the weight room about 2 times a week to help with my arm strength and all. I read your post and I'm very excited that you are thinking in the right direction ... that's kudos to you Shax!

Day 1 of the All Pro weights routine* yesterday. Went OK, and felt fine on the bike ride home afterwards, but this morning the DOMS has set in and my hamstrings feel like I've had a punishment beating. The rides today are going to be fun.
(* whole body routine, 7 mostly compound exercises: 5 week cycles, each consisting of Heavy/Medium/Light day. Heavy day is 10 rep max weight for each exercise, Medium is 90% of that, Light is 80%. Weeks 1-5 are 8/9/10/11/12 reps, respectively, so by heavy day of week 5, you're doing 12 reps of your 10 rep max weight. If you manage that, up the weight by 10% and start the next cycle).

Latest numbers:
25-16 218.8 8-25-16 198.8 9-26-16 197.8 9-29-16 199
im not sure if the Monday number (197.8) was a false reading or that the days since that weigh in , I've eaten more food than I thought. It makes me a little annoyed that my body is fighting me so much. I've been under the weather the past few days and my motivation for excercise is waning. It's time to watch some motivational videos. I'm still shooting to be 192 by 10-25-16.
