Betty Ross becomes Red She-Hulk. I was pretty annoyed when I returned to reading superhero comics and found out that most of Hulk's supporting cast had become gamma monsters. Betty Ross I don't mind so much but Rick Jones and General Ross too seems like overkill. One of my favorite Superman supporting characters. I don't think Mary Jane ever got powers in 616 continuity. Mary Jane, along with everyone else living in the island of Manhattan, got spider powers during the Spider-Island event back in 2010 or 2011. She actually did some impressive web-slinging during Spider-Island.

How about Wyatt Wingfoot? I'm reading his first appearances right now, and having "The blood of the Comanche flowing through my veins" is basically a superpower. He's got super tracking abilities, sharp-shooting, horse taming...

Pieface got to impersonate Green Lantern, complete with working power ring, several times during the Silver Age, usually in the context of letting Hal and GL be seen together. Also, didn't he become one of the New Guardians after Millennium?
Cei-U! I want a power ring, dammit!

Alicia Masters had a pretty ridiculous look when she had superpowers.

Aunt May unless you count the imaginary story during Assistant Editor's Month when she became Galactus' herald, or one panel in Fantastic Four Roast where she was Captain Universe.
Glory Grant Joe Robertson
Most of the supporting cast of Suicide Squad. I don't recall Amanda Waller, John Economos, Murph, Sheba, Father Kraemer et al ever developing superpowers.

Edit: Here we go.

and on the Surfer's board no less. Classic. Comics.... on what earth do you need alicia as super powered when you are writing about galactus. This must have been the second time then that she was superpowered then because there is this too "she mutated into a spider-monster at the hands of Hydra and she was transformed into the Egyptian bride of Nephrus"

Ah, Red Shift. I guess he was better than his predecessor, Morg. What happened to the GOOD former heralds like Terrax, Air-Walker, Firelord, etc? I say they dropped the elements angle too soon. Sure, water in space is tricky (particularly since it the lack of pressure and near absolute zero temps causes it to boil) but it's not like Galactus couldn't do something about that. The dark energy character from Annihilation was a more interesting concept to me (sorry, for forgot his name).

Man, is there anything the Surfer can't do ?
