Batman 542 Invisibles #4 Jack Kirby's Fourth World 3 JLA 5 Ka-Zar 1 Resurrection Man 1 Shade 2 Spectre 53 Starman 30 Thunderbolts 2 trying a few new titles this month to see if I can find good stuff to read in the pile of swill that was out there. There was good stuff, but you had to look a little harder to fnd it, and there was a lot of good stuff out there I wasn't turned on to yet (Bone, Distant SOil, Strangers in PAradise) that I eventually would be. -M |

April of 1997 and the buzz this year is the big DC/Marvel crossover. Many of these selling out at the local comic shops and i could still find these goodies at the Circle K and 7-11's around town for cover price rather than the inflated price the stores would list the day following their release. Other big fun was the emerging fun of Thunderbolts heroic villainy.

I am nearing the end of a job. Terminated for doing the right thing by turning in physical and photographic evidence one of the Physician's in a group of Orthopedic doctors i work for has been been altering patient billings to Medicare. Took several months collecting data/information and speaking with the FBI. He finds out and terminates me but in the end it was worth it and he lost his license. So this was the beginning of a wind down on comics as i had limited funds through unemployment for the next 6 months. So it was only the main series i followed or if something really grabbed my attention.
