December 1997Ah the late 90s when Marvel was bouncing back from the horror of Heroes Reborn, but DC still had more good books and I was starting to move away form the mainstream more and more, mostly with Vertigo at this point, but that lead to more indy books... Avengers #1 (Busiek/Perez) Cable 51 (Ladronn!) Captain America #2 (Waid/Garney) Conspiracy #1 & 2 Invisibles 14 Iron Man 1 (Busiek/Chen) Jack Kirby;s Fourth World 12 JLA Year One 2 (I kept with this but stopped Morrison's JLA book this month) Kents 7 Legends of the DC Universe 1 (James Robinsom on Superman got me to bite) Man-Thing 3 Neil Gaiman & Charles Vess' Stardust 3 Shadows & Light 1 (B&W Wrightson on Hulk, Gene Ha on Black Widow, Ditko on Iron Man, Stelfreeze on Daredevil) Spectre 62 (all good things must come to an end, but what an ending) Starman 39 Transmetropolitan 6 (I jumped on here and picked up the first 6) Uncle Sam 2 -M

December 1997 and purchases way down but the select few are outstanding! Perez on Avengers oh hell yeah! Starman going strong! Kazar just splendid fun! Impulse quirky funny stuff. Thunderbolts a blast!

January 1998 and the collecting is dwindling down. Mostly due to being in a job that I'm about to quit in another month due to a stingy boss unwilling to pay competitive going wages where I am their senior Insurance/billing/Front desk/Trainer and the company is hiring off the street paying more than what I am currently making after 5 years with them. So I am saving pennies knowing it's almost over. And oh yeah, not much in comics is all that interesting or fun at this time...
