Im reading some Free Comic Book Day comics I got in the mail today which are the new Star Trek Next Generation Broken Mirror comic and a Free Comic Book Day Rick and Morty.
the artwork in the Star Trek Free Comic Book Day comic its alright just different than what Im used to with regular comics.
The Rick and Morty FCBD issue Ill probably enjoy since I know of the cartoon show and the weirdness

I've read (in tpb form) the first couple issues of Jeff Lemire and Dean Ormston's Black Hammer series (Dark Horse). I don't know if it fully deserves the hype it's been getting (although granted, it is only the first couple of issues), but it's pretty decent. I finished the tpb a few days ago. It definitely picks up steam as it goes. I'm looking forward to the next one. I read the first issue of The Fix a couple nights ago. Good stuff! Which was to be expected from the team who gave us Superior Foes Of Spider-Man, one of the most underrated books in recent years.

Lemire has been killing it for years over at Valiant.
I mean really putting out top end stuff; so good in fact that it feels like it's creator-owned.
I've got to get around to Black Hammer. I'm sure it'll be great.

I binge read all 5 recent issues of God Country. Great comic but not fond of the cussing and swearing though.
Cant wait for issue 6 before the comic ends since its a short mini series

Read the first 5 issues of Curse Words from Image.
Pretty enjoyable. I've been digging Soule's work on Poe Dameron and decided to give this one a try.

Blue Beetle Rebirth and first two issues of the following series. I'm mostly familiar with Jaime Reyes through the Young Justice cartoon. While Giffen and Kolins set up the nice friction between Kord and Reyes and maintain his family dynamic, this series hasn't grabbed onto me like I thought it would. Same here. The first few issues didn't interest me enough to keep getting it.

So, I had picked up the Adam Strange/Future Quest special, and it was decent (just about exactly what I would have expected).. neat that it fit in the continuity of both stories.
The big thing, IMO, is the Top Cat back up... the bascially set him up to be Howard the Duck in the DCU, and (maybe) a Bat villain to boot.. anyone heard anything else about that? there's a BC article about it, but it doesn't really say anything that's not implied by the 'to be continued in.. Top Cat' blurb on the last page.
