That is a bit too flattering, Prince Hal . It needs to be updated to current standards by making it more... what's the PC term today??? Oh yeah, more "body positive"... which I think translates to a slightly larger beer gut in my case.
Just don't let Liefeld draw it, because I still have size 10 feet.
The armament looks about right, though I prefer basket-hilt broadswords over katanas.

Oh, the beer gut's there. It's those earth colors you prefer that help to slim it and make you look like you have a dad-bod.

Another one of my cosplay questions. I am toying with the idea of doing a Gambler costume. My question involves those discs hanging from his waistband. I believe they are an early form of watch fob (which would later evolve into the fob and chain gentlemen wore on their waistcoats). My question is does anyone know if their is a specific name for this style of fob, as searching for 'fob' gives me 100s of results on the later style. (Why the Gambler would be wearing two of these is a question for an another day. ) I say go classy with a "K" and use these instead:

I had someone actually suggest that I put those on my truck's box hitch. I've always been very comfortable with who I am, but in the view of good taste I took a hard pass on that suggestion.

^ I'm being serious in that I'd TOTALLY use that as part of a costume instead of Gambler's Fob at Dragon*con . . if I cosplayed (*other than throwing something together last minute sometimes, or if someone makes it for me)

Well there ya go... good taste is totally out the window when it comes to Dragon Con. All bets are off then... just don't show any male nipples, right?

there's an inverse reaction calculation. . the more I drink, and the fatter I feel, the less coverage will be in my evening outfits. (pretty much any "illegal" nudity is not allowed. . but anything legal - which includes both male and female nipples - is typically ok. Tho you don't tend to see that during daylight hours)

has the Gerber HtD newspaper strip ever been collected? I don't I've read a single panel of it, unless I've seen something online and forgotten it.

I know those volumes published the stuff from "Crazy" magazine, as well as from the Howard B&W. . could have sworn the strips are in there too. . but not sure.

What's so special about spinner racks? They bend you books if you leave them there too long. Nostalgia of a time when that is where we bought comics. Not nicely lined up on a wall in alphabetical order. But haphazardly put in a rack in front of other books. Who knows what treasures you will find behind the latest issue of Batman. Plus, they INVITED you to take them out and flip through them. Even the "Hey Kids! Comics!" sign at the top gave you the authority to spin and search.

I have that omnibus, I took a picture of that page (the top panels that actually have aliens in them). I'm not sure which one is being referenced (or if the context is the identity versus just artistic merit) but thought I'd post so more people can weigh in. The green guy on the left of the second panel is a martian (or whatever they are called) from John Carter.

Thanks, I'll have a look online. I'm only interested in the Gerber Howard, so would prefer not to have in a volume mixed with other writers, but if that's the only option I might have to consider it.
