I wasn't able to find any images of a treadmill powered aerial tramway (there is probably a specific technical term I don't know), but here are some contemporary images of locomotives powered by a horse on a treadmill. Cycloped, which took part in the Rainhill trials of October 1829. I can't find a picture, but sometimes when they're doing maintenance on the railroad tracks around here, crews will travel on a flatcar-type thing where a pickup on it uses its tires to drive a device geared to a driving wheel to move along the track.

That ain't it. I see plenty of these, but what I'm talking about isn't a truck rigged to run on tracks; it's a rail car that uses a truck to power the car's wheels.

Burkett has a few interviews out there about other stuff he did, but not Warlord. Seems like a mystery that should be solved! Edit: Someone that has more patience than me... I found this interview: www.jumblethink.com/podcast/episodes/cary-burkettmaybe something in there.. I listened to most of this today and it's not addressed. Burkett does reveal some interesting stuff about how he got into comics, and got his start at DC, but the interviewer doesn't seem to really care about comics at all and skates right past it to talk about other stuff.

I have a hankering to read some Lori Lemaris stories from the various Superman comics. I've always been strangely fascinated by the character, ever since I first heard about her as a teen, but have yet to read a single comic with her in it. I think I'm only interested in the pre-Crisis version of the character though.
What are some good Silver and Bronze Age stories with her in? And has there ever been a collected edition of her appearances?

So I've been looking at other options for early FF reprints other than the Omnibus, and while I've seen some good facsimiles like this one, the price wasn't that great: Other than these (homemade?) replicas, and going the affordable route, I think the only option is the Panini UK Fantastic Four Adventures title. I have a couple of questions about this edition: - Are covers for the Kirby issues inside?
- Have they been recolored?

I just sold my copy of the first appearance of Lori Lemaris, which is in Superman #129. Interestingly, there's a house ad in the issue for Action Comics #252, the first Supergirl.
Both came just a year after the first Brainiac, first Metallo, first LSH, and first Bizarro.
I'm not sure what spurred the sudden burst of creativity, but 1958 and 1959 had a lot of innovations that really brought Superman into the Silver Age.

That's really helpful, thanks. She had more appearances than, for example, the Pre-Crisis Parasite and she was on par with the original Bizarro! Before googling for your question, I believed she was just appeared in her debut story and some flashback (and Crisis of course). But it seems she had a rich and meaningful life!
