That's really helpful, thanks. She had more appearances than, for example, the Pre-Crisis Parasite and she was on par with the original Bizarro! Before googling for your question, I believed she was just appeared in her debut story and some flashback (and Crisis of course). But it seems she had a rich and meaningful life! She appeared in multiple stories where superman's past loves were assembled,, and she appeared anytime Supes visited Atlantis.

A little sexist I have to say ;-) (But it seems she had a couple of solo stories too)

What are some good Silver and Bronze Age stories with her in? There aren’t any. This has been my Ted Talk. It's hard picturing someone on a stage, with a flesh-colored headset mic, hands interlocked, talking in a stilted, presentation manner, saying "There Aren't any.", but I did anyway.

It wasn't gone into in much detail but, yes, he did. At least he went to Australia, where he mastered the boomerang, and Japan, where he studied ninjitsu. This was after college but before he took over Wayne Enterprises, IIRC. Cei-U! I summon the Bat-lore!
Just to be sure: - Parents die
- As a teenager, he dons a proto-Robin costume and gets his first training under Harvey Harris
- Enters in college
- He graduates (In opposition to his Post-Crisis counterpart)
- Travels the world
- He returns to Gotham
- He assumes control of the family company
- He becomes Batman.
I get it right? That's eerily similar to my life... well, no. 4, anyway. The rest of it- not so much.

I just sold my copy of the first appearance of Lori Lemaris, which is in Superman #129. Interestingly, there's a house ad in the issue for Action Comics #252, the first Supergirl. Both came just a year after the first Brainiac, first Metallo, first LSH, and first Bizarro. I'm not sure what spurred the sudden burst of creativity, but 1958 and 1959 had a lot of innovations that really brought Superman into the Silver Age. Maybe w/ Julie starting up a "rival" stable of science fiction-based characters, Mort felt it was time to shake things up a little.

Maybe w/ Julie starting up a "rival" stable of science fiction-based characters, Mort felt it was time to shake things up a little. It also helped that Fawcett head writer Otto Binder now worked for DC and was told to bring some of the imagination he'd displayed writing the Marvel Family stories to bear on the stultifying boring line of Superman titles. While he didn't concoct all of the new characters mentioned, he did write the first appearances of Supergirl the Legion, and Bizarro, as well as Krypto and Super-Monkey.
Cei-U! I summon the infusion of new talent!

Is there a sillier villain than the Tarantula from the Spider-man book? They must have ran out of ideas after Lee left the book.

Is there a sillier villain than the Tarantula from the Spider-man book? They must have ran out of ideas after Lee left the book. It's a villain that I really, really loathe (at least in his original incarnation). It's a just a regular guy whose super-power is having pointy shoes (HOW THE HECK HE COULD RUN), yet in all of his early appearances he almost always humiliated Spider-Man (someone who, remember, FIGHTED AN EX-HERALD OF GALACTUS). The only explanation is that Marvel hated the Wallcrawler in the 70s. In fact, when new writers arrived on the magazine, they immediately took care to point out how absurd it was.

Is there a sillier villain than the Tarantula from the Spider-man book? They must have ran out of ideas after Lee left the book. The Hypno-Hustler? I think Hypno-Hustler was made with tongue-in-cheeck. And even in his debut story he was little more than a nuisance to Spider-Man. Tarantula is much worse, because before his first death he was always depicted as a serious and extremely dangerous threat to the Wall Crawler. And he didn't just defeat the latter in the stories, he humiliated him. Look, I know that in the world of comics there are no hard rules, but one should be written in stone: very, very few not-enhanced humans (none really) should be a problem for Spider-Man in a fight. Shang-Chi, MAYBE. The Punisher sometimes. I mean: free picture hosting sitesInstead you had this (Spidey was later saved by the Punisher!) and this and this
AND FINALLY THIS My Gosh, what they were thinking?

What did Lee create after Ditko and Kirby left? Do you want to compare what Kirby created after he left Marvel with Lee? Ditko also created Blue Beetle, the Question and Shade among others.
