Looking for a truly edgy, sexy political comic? And if they covered his real life, you would get just that. His married girlfriend/mistress, 17 years his junior, at his side when he died. Don't let the "creepy uncle" look fool you on that cover...Adlai was a playa! Well, no, there weren't any naughty bits. After all, “DELL comics are good comics," but to be fair, though his GF was "with" him, but they were walking in London at the time. Adlai's death was hardly the full Rockefeller.

Looking for a truly edgy, sexy political comic? With a cover designed to grab every red-blooded fan's attention? Look no further, true believer: This comic is actually pretty high up on my want list along with the Barry Goldwater.
Cei-U!
My LBJ comic craves companionship! "Extremism in the pursuit of comic books is no vice."

Has anyone read this and is it any good? I adore BW but at first glance this cover is a turn off with its horrid meh artwork.

I read it. The art is pretty hideous. Black Widow is a femme fatale, but was apparently beaten with the ugly stick. From my recollection, the plot is one of those "it's hard to follow, therefore it most be sophisticated" stories. I read it via the the Black Widow Epic Collection: The Coldest War. Aside from the eponymous GN, there are three other graphic novel included in that Epic Collection. Even though only one of those four is really good (Daredevil/Black Widow: Abattoir), I do love that Epic Collections include OGNs instead of sticking to the ongoing monthlies.

Thanks, I might give this particular GN a miss but if it comes in a collected edition, I'll roll with that.

Is that supposed to somehow evoke Cyrillic script? Because they don't have a backwards 'K'...backwards 'R' and 'N', yes (at least in comparison with the Latin alphabet), but no backwards 'K'.

They were trying to ape Howard Chaykin, who did that kind of thing to signify Russian, in American Flagg. He stuck with Rs and the like, though.
I couldn't slog through that one in my Land of the misfit Stories review thread; the Marvel GNs got pretty dire, by that point....not that they did that many really great ones, before.

I know that I've read it, but I cannot recall a single detail about it, so that is probably an indictment. It wasn't even bad enough to fill me with outage.

Republicans love to portray their doddering old candidates as virile warriors. This may be more your style then: That's not Biden, that's Steve McQueen.

Now I want to read it more. To see hatchet-faced Natasha? Be sure to post your impressions on CCF. Oh man, I just read it. The story was an average plot of spy’s and betrayal but the art and the coloring was pretty bad. The layouts were good but the faces were not pretty at all. Such a shame; George Freeman was highly touted in the 80’s.

George Freeman was good. He did a nice Jack of Hearts mini. Wonder what happened with this.
