I'm working my way through Runaways right now and a reoccurring theme is how few superheroes there are operating on the West Coast. Now, I know the comic books were originally made in New York and that was where a lot of the creators lived, but why is the West Coast so underrepresented n Marvel comics?

I never felt that way when West Coast Avengers was a thing.... Hulk usually operated out west too... Daredevil and Black Widow at times... The X-Men were there for quite a while. I mean, it's not like New York where you're tripping over Superheroes, but there are usually people out there.

More stringent labor laws; so they would have to pay 'em better.

Does anybody know where this pic is from? Donald's first appearance looks similar but that's not it.

Just read FF 23 and Johnny is snuffed out when a vase tips over and he is hit with water. The more I thought about it. I wondered is that really all it takes? When there is a downpour in New York and Doom is threatening the world does Torch sit that out??

When there is a downpour in New York and Doom is threatening the world does Torch sit that out?? The official justification is that his powers grew over time, since when he obtained them he was still a teenager and not a fully developed adult.

Trying to remember a Hulk tale I read in a reprint annual. Era no doubt 70s. Robinson Crusoe style character on island where Hulk lands. No matter how I phrase it via a search engine, no result yet. Over to you, folks.

I’ll have a look at some interior pages, but that could well be it, most probably. Thank you.
