No, that was indeed Dagon's only appearance. Aquaman had so few recurring villains in the early '60s that, after using Electric Man (from Adventure #254) in JLA #5, Julius Schwartz and Gardner Fox resorted to making some up. Cutlass Charlie, from JLA #61, is another example. Cei-U! I summon the empty rogues gallery! Thank you. For some reason, that is actually quite funny. "No, honestly guys, I do actually do stuff between JLA adventures, there's really quite a lot of crime under the sea!" Heh!!! Actually, the wholesale slaughter of most marine species should warrant the most severe punishment... but alas, Aquaman doesn't exist.

So, I've been re-reading (first time in many, many years) the early FFs, courtesy of my public library. Will have observations at some point, but a question now: Was FF #4 the first time Kirby did anything with Sub-Mariner? For that matter, how much had Stan been involved with the character?

^Sorry to butt in MDG...hopefully someone helps you with that but I am curious about finding out if there is a way to contact John Romita. It would mean a lot to get him to complete the trifecta by signing the cover of my ASM #97. Or even, which cons he tends to frequent? Or does he even sign stuff it people send it in? My fear would be sending it somewhere and never seeing it again...

There may have been a story that I don't know about but as far as I know Kirby did not work on Sub-Mariner in the 40's & 50's. I don't know if Stan had written any stories but he was editor on Sub-Mariner in the 40's & 50's.

Another creator based question...does Mike Ploog show up at cons? I read somewhere that he does artwork for Magic cards? Wondered if he still popped up in the comic scene.

At the very least, Stan wrote some text stories featuring Namor in the early '40s. I suspect but don't know (yet) that he may have written some stories during the time Bill Everett was in the service.
Cei-U! I summon the secondstring Subby scripter!

So I'm reading the post Infinite Crisis/Pre-Flashpoint (damn, DC, you made a mess) JLA by Meltzer.. really liked the Lightning Saga.. I had no idea it was actually a Legion story! Anyway, Roy Harper (Red Arrow at this moment) hears someone scream, and says 'It sounded just like Gar when Terra died'.
Sorry, but no. Roy Harper certainly wasn't involved in the Judas Contract at all.. unless someone infinite crisis put him there? He only knew Gar MUCH later, when he was the leader of his crappy version of the Titans, and there was a clone Terra around that, to my knowledge, Gar never liked.
This is a perfect example of how you shouldn't use continuity if you can't do it right.. instead of prompting a memory of a great story, it made me angry and sent me to the computer.
So, am I correct in my righteous outrage, or is Mr. Meltzer referring to some later Titans event I don't know about?

For anyone that's seen the JL movies The Flashpoint Paradox and read the comics, are they pretty similar? I think it's hilarious that the war between the Alantians and the Amazons is cause Aquaman was banging Wonder Woman and his wife found out and WW killed her. A global war started by lust. Lol

So I stumbled across this from 1990...and it is really making me want one. Are there more of these? Did Romita do more? This has to be the only time he ever drew some of the characters (Hobby and Venom).

How far can Nightcrawler teleport? Could he teleport to Mars? He has been shown to be able to teleport distances of up to two miles (3 km) under optimal conditions, although this is usually his extreme limit, and he can become severely fatigued if he tries to teleport that distance. He has exceeded this limit on multiple occasions. In one case, he teleports somewhere over 50 miles (80 km). Wikipedia.
