@supercat , I really like your detailed take on the whole thing in your post above. We think alike on several points within.
I've been cursed with an archivist/librarian mentality rather than an investor mentality when it comes to comics, but I suppose that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I would say history can be thankful for archivists and librarians.

Quick question- what comic supplies do you guys recommend in the UK? I want Silver Age sized boards and bags that fit together snugly, with flat boards not the warpy kind, and don't cost the earth. I used to like the Comicare stuff, but it's hard to source as the manufacturer only seeks to shops, Guess I'll need a shop too! I could potentially buy 100 of each to test their quality. Thanks!

Not sure how their bags and boards are (I tend to use just whatever I have from purchases, supplementing with Comic Pro bags as needed, just because they are cheap), but BCW has those great plastic Long Boxes, I bet they have good other stuff too.

I liked BCW's boards and bags back in the day, but they're hard to find in the UK at a sensible price (at least when I looked a month ago). I bought a bunch of their plastic long boxes years back- and had to return the lot- they were made a tad too narrow, I think by manufacturing error, to fit silver age boards!

Maybe review what the specialty UK stores stock, or UK supplies on ebay. Once I get crystal clear polypropylene / mylites in the right size (golden-age, silver-age, modern) I don't usually care about the brand. Also, there are some bags and boards I get specifically from England for the UK weekly comics (which were a bit larger than US comics), and I don't think I saw a brand name, they were just assembled together in packs of 10 or 25.

The two things I've had in the past I disliked- warped/wavy boards that were too flimsy, and bags that were a couple of cm too wide, or a cm or so short. That's all stuff I can't review online. I'm happy with 15p an issue standard board and bag- no need for anything fancier.

The bags/boards I buy fit perfectly and snugly once the dimensions are clearly stated.

Can you tell me which store you buy from, please?

Was Bewitched ever featured in MAD?

Was Bewitched ever featured in MAD?
No, but National Lampoon did a very naughty adult parody in the January 1982 issue-- with art by Berni Wrightson, no less.
The first page is about all I can show and still stay within the rules of decorum...

I would have bet that surely it must have been done by MAD at some point during the show's run but much to my surprise it does not appear in the wikipedia list of MAD tv parodies.
edit: once again I see I am too slow off the mark to be of assistance.

Thanks, I just read it on-line, it's only 4 pages but goes into something much darker than the show...won't describe it here.

I wonder if Cracked ever did one? I haven't been able to find a list of their tv or film parodies like the ones wiki has for MAD.
