The Melter was killed by the Scourge of the Underworld in Avengers #263. As far as I know Whirlwind and Radioactive Man are still active in the Marvel Universe. Not sure about Whirlwind, but Radioactive Man definitely did a recent stint in the Thunderbolts. The last time I remember seeing Whirlwind, he was trying to rape Jan van Dyke in Avengers #59 ( v.2).

I'm going to say Karen Page. She was forever getting teary eyed over Matt, or Mike, or whoever else happened to be passing. The woman had serious problems, I think. She should have been on some heavy medication. Does heroin count?

I'd start with either Crab with the Golden Claws or Cigars of the Pharaoh. The early books are a little hard to take, so it is better to read the later ones and get a feeling of who the character is supposed to be, then read the early ones if you're interested to know what he started as. Although if you enjoyed the movie, you might like to start with The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure as it was largely based on these two books (which form one story), with some material from The Crab with the Golden Claws thrown in. I began with the Blue Lotus a few years ago but later on went back and read Cigars of the Pharoah and would agree that that's a good starting point. I'm just about to get into La secret de la Licorne now.

Whirlwind is still around, and has made a lot of appearances since then. He was last seen a few months ago in Astonishing Ant Man #10.

Speaking of Mike Murdock, can anyone here give me a brief outline of who he was? I remember reading a DD reprint in the 70s with Mike Murdock and I was confused.

Matt Murdock created a fictitious twin brother in Daredevil #25 after Foggy and Karen opened a letter from Spider-Man accusing the blind attorney of being the Man Without Fear. The ruse worked for a short time, but eventually created more problems then it solved. After about a year, Matt staged Mike's "death" during DD's battle with The Eliminator (later known as The Death Stalker) in #41. When Daredevil inevitably reappeared, Matt "revealed" that his brother had been training a replacement. Cei-U! And people wonder why I hate secret identity-themed plotlines..,.

Has the Mutant Leader from DKR ever had an origin/background story? I don't really want to read it, I'm just curious if one exists.

And Foggy and Karen never thought it was odd that Matt was never in the same place as his twin brother Mike? Or Foggy never thought it was odd that Matt had never mentioned he had a twin in the entire time the two of them were at university and law school together? Boy, they make silver age Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen look like a pair of geniuses.

How do you tell the TMNT apart? They all look the same to me.

Simple: paint the 1st letter of their name on their back to match the color of their mask!

How do you tell the TMNT apart? They all look the same to me. In the more commerical versions (TV and Movies) they all have different color headbands.. Blue for Leo, Red for Raf, Orange for Mike and Purple for Don. In the originals, you have to go by context and what weapon they're using. IIRC, the Michael Bay movies got away from the colors and actually made them different... Donatello has goggles that often have wearable computer bits, Raf was bigger and more muscular, while Mikey was a little smaller.
