I stole my user-id from a guy named Allen. That's what I did - I robbed Allen.

I'm a huge Dragon Age fan and "Willow" is my canon Inquisitor in Dragon Age Inquisitor.

Frank Castle and Conan are probably my two favorite comic book characters.
Seemed fitting

Outside of comic book forums most people think I'm a guy named Adam who is a practicing Wiccan warlock with a random number attached. Comic readers knows better than that.

Hi all,
just an FYI, we merged the newer "Explain your user ID" thread into this similar, older one. Thanks!

I've always had teddy bears around, plus I liked the idea of people imagining a large possibly hairy bear woman typing at them, and thought my BF might like that too, because I'm skinny and don't even have anything to shave under the arms... it's like a big guy being 'tiny' I suppose. The 67 is in honor of my favorite year (coughs), oh forget it, I'm 51, born in 1967. So an old fat bear woman, that'll work well for me online I figured, and it has!

I just added '1974' to my Username to reflect my love to the 1st Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla film back in 1974. I originally was Mechagodzilla, then JLASilverAgeFan, then Avatar Man (to reflect my desire to change my avatars often), then Juggernaut based on the approval of hondobrode, then back to MechaGodzilla and I added the Capital 'G' ... then a few days ago, I added the '1974' to my name. hondobrode - added The Cosmic Monster because -- I saw this poster at my local theatre so often back in the beginning part of 1974 and I beg my older brothers to take me to that film and they did.

Although legally my first name is Chadwilliam, I go by Chad. Unfortunately, 'Chad' was already taken when I came here, hence 'Chadwilliam'.
Boring story sure, but anything I can do to get people here to call me Chad helps.

I DJ on air and occasionally in nightclubs. A lot of friends of mine who DJ use DJ names, but I don't really understand why. I mean, I got nothing to hide so it's just my name - Brian Foss - or BrianF. Should I be more secret? I assume every thing I do online is visible so I'd rather not do anything via computer that I'd want to keep secret. Every email, private message etc is something I can stand behind. Hey, if I wanna break the law I an't doing it online

My nom de plume of choice used to be "DuracellEnergizer". One day I went to sign up on a forum which had a username character limit, and so I shortened it to "DuraGizer". Eventually I realized "Duragizer" was a better username than "DuracellEnergizer", and so I've stuck with it ever since.

Oh, do you get many jokes like that since the Gore vs. Bush Jr. election? Sorry. I suppose most people would get annoyed at constant jokes about their name like that, but not me. I welcomed the focus that election would surely bring unto me, but comments such as those were too infrequent to satisfy my craving for attention. I tried too - "Some crazy stuff going on over there in Florida what with those screwed up ballots, huh everybody?" Contemptuous silence from co-workers. "That election's just hanging on by a thread, huh everybody?" More silence. "I said 'hanging on by a-'" "SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY, CHAD!" Yep. Mr. Popular, I became.
