I had forgotten how quickly Jack of Fables jumped the shark. Pretty much the second storyline was the last one worth reading. Got into a re-read of the third trade and remembered that it got really bad really fast.

Dug through a random box 'o comics for Fantasy Stuff. Read:
Saga of Crystar, Crystal Warrior #9: This was a toy tie in, I think? Anyway it was super dense and continuity heavy and gave me a bit of a headache.
Ironjaw # 1: Atlas comics are rad. This one features a post-apocaytic barbarian who's maybe the least likable hero in comics ever. Mike Sekowsky did quite solid work on art here.
Wolf, the Barbarian # 1: Another Atlas Barbarian book. More of a traditional fantasy - the long lost princ of the country of I forget the name is hiding out as a simple juggler while the dark lord of eeeeevil tracks him down. At least he seems nicer than Ironjaw, and can go three panels without killing or raping anyone.
The Dreaming # 4: A Sandman spin-off series that nobody talks about. Man, I was SUPER into Sandman when this series came out, but I think this issue was my last. It just felt like weak Sandman fanfiction. This one has Mad Hettie and Lady Constantine acting like they were not written by Neal Gaiman.
Strangetown # 1: (And only) I really liked this one, and it seemed like it was gearing up for a long run... but here we are 9 years later and I think it's safe to assume the series is dead. Mysterious stranger ends up in a (haunted) rooming house in Grangetown with a buncha quirky roommates... With art by Chynna Clugston Major (Flores!) This was engaging and quite funny and I wish there had been more of 'em.

The Dreaming wasn't very good. The spin-off minis and one-shots varied in quality, but at least some were pretty good.
Finished Fables up through #75. Arguably where the book should have stopped. I'm going to take a break before reading the other half.
