No Dingbats of Dangerstreet fans? (I've never read it either...)

I love them all. Outside of the Dingbats, I thought every one of them was great, but if I had to pick just one, I'd probably have to say O.M.A.C., even more than Jimmy Olsen or the New Gods.
BTW, I've spent the last week or so making my first digital mosaic, and since Kirby's The King, I thought it fitting to make him my first subject.
So, if this takes, you'll see it here. It's 30K + cells with 1,700 + Kirby images, and most of you will probably recognize the Kirby cover.

Can't wait to see the mosaic, hondobrode.
I'd never heard of the Dingbats before. I think I'm going to have to pick this up.

Even though I much prefer the characters and stories Kirby created at Marvel, I'd have to say that he reached his artistic zenith at DC in the early 70's.

Can't wait to share it with you guys, but I can't figure out how to post it. I just wrote the programmer to see if he can help me with it.

Here's the original cover that I used as the source material for my mosaic.

and here's my mosaic, though you can't see it as well as on my screen, obviously.
I printed, scanned and re-saved as a jpeg.

I loved that issue of Amazing Heroes. It was my introduction to the New Gods mythos and after reading that I tracked down all the issues (which at the time were selling for a buck or two each in mid to high grade). I learned so much from that issue and it is the reason I am a Kirby fan to this day.

Even though I much prefer the characters and stories Kirby created at Marvel, I'd have to say that he reached his artistic zenith at DC in the early 70's. It probably helped that he had an inker that worked closely with him. Or at least didn't erase lines.
(Although I love Sinnott's inking over Jack's pencils. I think Sinnott is underrated in general. He gave everything such a classic feel. Even Al Milgrom's work.)

Can't wait to see the mosaic, hondobrode. I'd never heard of the Dingbats before. I think I'm going to have to pick this up. There are at least 2 unpublished issues. Dingbats is definitely an anachronism, nothing to do with the DCU, completely harmless, not so very brilliant and kind of fun.

Mister Miracle, although I pretty much love everything.
Well, except Green Arrow. I haven't read much of the Losers, either.

The Fourth World was an explosion of creativity. It was breathtaking seeing it come out issue by issue, about every other week. It's hard to imagine anything having that kind of impact on me again.
My silly prejudice against war comics meant that I ignored the Losers at the time, and I intend to track down those issues.
