Hello, I'm heystacy, which is also my handle on CBR. I've done far more lurking than posting in the last few years. My gen X slacking is showing. I used to read a lot of comics per month, as I read them as a youngster. Nowadays, it's when I can afford them. Hey Stacy. Long time no see. Howdy.

Yep - I'm aware! I helped the guy editing the book by providing him with a butt-load of scans of my books and hooking him up with other collectors that had even more scans and better copies of stuff than I have. Can't wait for it! Yeah - I'm a Vargas fan too, although the avatar is an Elvgren. Yesterday one of his classic originals went for over $200k!!! I also have this James Jean print (bought directly from him, signed too!) which is an image used in the Watchmen flick and is more Vargas then Elvgren: Beautiful Elvgren cheesecake. Can't believe I didn't make that connection.

My name is Andy Kanzer. I went by Kan-Man on CBR and if I registered correctly, I'm Kan-Man again. Dan Bailey told me about this endeavor via Facebook and suggested I drop by.
I live on Long Island in the town of Huntington with my wife and our two boys, Jackson (10) and Griffin (6). I actively posted on CBR until a couple of years ago when I started a new job that has been occupying most of my time (I'm a Copy Director for Showtime).
I don't collect comics anymore but I'm very nostalgic by nature and enjoy sharing my memories as well as reading those of others.
Happy to be back and to "see" so many familiar faces.

Either way, welcome.

Something in Infobroker's thread brought a few names to mind - has anyone heard from MichikoS, T-Guy, or Mike Kuypers?

Hello world. Another Chris here. Came and went a couple of times on the old boards, but most folks here are so darned nice I keep coming back. My hobby is the early Fantastic Four: zak-site.com/Great-American-Novel/Also partial to a bit of Ken Reid's Jonah: and Leo Baxendale's Badtime Bedtime Books (blank stares all round) Also fond of Ditko's Dr Strange and his early strange tales type stuff, Steranko's Nick Fury, very early Hulk, Englehart's Hulk, Bob Layton's Iron Man, etc. I'd love to buy more comics and get into old style DC, and especially EC, but alas my budget is usually too tight. But if anybody knows of non-pirate DVDs that collect such comics (like Gitcorp's wondrous collections) I'd love to hear.

I'm glad to see so many old faces back! (Well... It's more like old screen names than faces, but you get the idea).

Hi folks. I was JKCarrier on the CBR boards as well. Not much to say...I like Silver and Bronze Age superheroes, as well as alternative comix of all eras. I do a couple of webcomics: the superheroes Lady Spectra & Sparky, and the fantasy adventure Glorianna. I haven't had much time to post lately, but I'll try to chime in when I can.

I got 3 things to say about Simon and Garfunkel They grew up in the same neighborhood as I, Forest Hills in the borough of Queens within New York City as did Peter Parker,Captain Kangeroo,The Ramones and a few more Secondly,I was told a few times that Art Garfunkel was a 2nd or 3rd cousin in the family.I was at a family wedding in the 80s and heard a few people saying that Art might show up. Nope, didn't happen. Thirdly,Paul Simon is one of the genius songwriters of the 20th century. My wife and I lived in Forest Hills for about 6 years when we were first married. We loved it but we grew out of the apartment.

Prince Hal here. I'll figure out how to restore my avatar when I have a week or two. Cripes, you don't post for a day or two and suddenly you're in the Phantom Zone! Glad to see familiar faces! I will read all the posts tomorrow so that I won't be asking a lot of stupid questions. Up to my gills in deadlines, so will have to sort all this out in a couple of days. If Dan B. is here, tell him I found the issue of All-Star that features the Earth-Two version of Brother Power. Shax, thanks! I don't know if you're Reed Richards, the Watcher or his machine from the FF wedding annual, but you're a hero! Thanks again and again! Very glad to see you here. Now Dan and I have another person to add to our weekly lecture series, "The Zen of Bruce Chen."
