Hello, I'm heystacy, which is also my handle on CBR. I've done far more lurking than posting in the last few years. My gen X slacking is showing. I used to read a lot of comics per month, as I read them as a youngster. Nowadays, it's when I can afford them. Love the avatar. My kids were Mordecai and Rigby for Halloween.

CBR was always nothing more than a corporate mouthpiece for Marvel and DC, but when that ass-kissy philosophy fully invaded the forums--which should be about fans giving honest opinions based on likes and dislikes--I stopped caring and moved on. I'm all on board with weeding out the trolls and troublemakers, but I simply can't stomach fascism even its its milder forms.

CBR was always nothing more than a corporate mouthpiece for Marvel and DC, I have no idea what name you posted under at CBR, but as someone who was there damn near from the beginning, I'll just go ahead and say this is completely uninformed B.S.

Going to put mod hat on for a sec, even though I am loathe to do it. When we started, there was a lot of hard feelings over the events at the CBR forums, and we all needed to vent, but it was taking over a lot of threads, so we asked to keep it to the Meanwhile thread and not make it a personal attack on anyone at CBR (admin, mod or whatever). Stuff is still happening, we get it, but we ask you still keep it to the Meanwhile thread and keep it from being something that could be interpreted as a personal attack. Vent all you want, just please keep it in that thread...
Thanks -M
taking mod hat off, it's not very comfortable.

Hi, I signed up a month ago, my user name is my initials.
Will probably lurk & occasionally post. I haven't read a new comic in over a year, but still enjoy older stuff. My favorites are FF, bronze age Marvel, like Iron Fist, Ghost Rider.
I also enjoy classic movies and talking about music.

Hello everyone sorry it took me so long to sign up for this board. I've known about it for sometime but was busy with work so I lurked for a bit.
Anyway my name is Chris or mrc whichever is easier. I started posting on CBR around the time Civil War and Infinite Crisis were about to come out. From the start my favorite forum was the Classics. I live in New Jersey about 15-20 minutes from NYC. I'm a New York Jets and Mets fan unfortunately. I dislike the Yankees (but have to travel to their disgusting stadium cause my gf is a fan) and Dallas Cowboys very much.
I'm not sure how many comics I own at this point but it quite bit. Some of my all time favorite series are Avengers (especially 1-300 and the Busiek run as well as Avengers Forever), Fantastic Four, Hitman, Suicide Squad (original run), Moon Knight 1-38 etc etc.
Some of my other interests/hobbies are movies (anything), TV (breaking bad is my all time favorite), pro-wrestling (don't watch the new stuff but I love watching old matches on Youtube),and I also buy some action figures and busts as long as they look cool.
