I always wondered why people kept lining up behind the lady with the gun... If you're clever, a gun can inflict a lot of pain without killing. So I've heard *a-hem*

Hello,
My name is Tyler. I am 20 years old. I just recently started getting into the world of comics a few months ago, so I am far less knowledgable then everyone else here I am sure. I stumbled across this forum and it seemed like a good one form what I've seen so I thought I would register. I'm not sure I'll be posting much, but I'm sure I will be lurking in the background, so that heavy breathing you hear is me in case you were wondering.

Welcome!
Getting into comics in this day & age strikes me as a daunting prospect indeed, though maybe it always was, at least once things started expanding more or less exponentially back in ... what ... the '80s? (Like a few other people here, I count myself lucky to have first become a fan back when everything could be found, pretty much, on a single spinner rack at the neighborhood drugstore. And at 12 cents a pop, yet.)

Thanks for the welcome. It certainly is daunting, but it is also a lot of fun.

Welcome rocopuffs. Grab a seat, make yourself at home, watch out for DanB's cats, and have fun.

Welcome rocopuffs. Grab a seat, make yourself at home, watch out for DanB's cats, and have fun. -M Especially the 19-pounder, Bucky, who's probably not especially happy after his vet visit today for regular maintenance-type stuff.

Thanks again and Yeah, I don't think I want to mess with a 19 pound cat. Could probably do some damage is he was so inclined.

Probably, but he's a total creampuff.

Probably, but he's a total creampuff. Like Dan himself.

Hmmm. What's a Southern pastry?
Perhaps I'm actually a fried pie.

Anyone have fried Coke before? It's surprisingly good.

Since I can't drink cokes & really have no business eating anything fried, that sounds sort of like Green Kryptonite to me.

Down here in Texas, the rodeo is like a fried food convention. I've seen fried Coke, fried Oreos, fried Twinkies, and even fried butter,
