Hello and Happy New Year to All.
My name is Jan and I am 59.
I am on CBR and CCL and was told about CCF so here I am.
I started collecting Marvel back in the early/mid 60's but had to get rid of all of my books when we moved.
I started collecting again in 79 and have completed all of my Super Hero runs(except for the expensive keys and #1's,AF15, ASM 1, Avengers 1, F.F.1, Hulk 1, JIM 83, TOS 39, X-Men 1).
Now I am working on Pre-Hero Marvel(JIM, Strange Tales, TOS, TTA) and Atlas/Marvel Westerns(Kid Colt, Rawhide Kid, Two Gun Kid, .10 covers only)
I am also a big fan of Rom-Spaceknight and Love the story and the fact that it involved almost everybody in the Marvel Universe.
Looking forward to getting to know everybody and discuss the classics.

hey all, bert.
I joined up a while back, but just never posted much.
I've really slowed down on posting at CBR (I came back after Jonah re-booted in April), but lately, just haven't been enjoying it much.
many of y'all might remember me from back at CBR from the time just after it switched to CBR from the Kingdom Come boards (long live Purple/Green and Orange/Purple messageboards!). . until I left with most of the YABs board to follow Gail over to Bendisboards.
those shut down a few months back (and although we do have another Gailboard set up. . it hasn't gone "general" public yet, and we've kept it to under 100 posters). So yeah, guess I'm in the mood to interact with more folks than just the same ones i've chatted with for years now at Gail's site (s).
anyways. . I'm gonna try to check, in here more often.
so "hi" again to those that I know, "hello" to those I don't, and "feel free to ignore" to those that don't care for me.

Hello, I am Cattysquaw, my real first name is Cheryl, I used to be on CBR as Joedocwife, married to Jodoc. but as of today have decided to give up on it. I really miss the Rita's group, CBR is not the same anymore, I will only be on CCR now.
I am a fan of wonder woman, she hulk, avengers, archie and static. Disappointed they are canceling the current She-Hulk, the current status of Wonder Woman is not great and looking forward to the new Avengers Movie. Have seen the last one over 20 times. |

Hello, I am Cattysquaw, my real first name is Cheryl, I used to be on CBR as Joedocwife, married to Jodoc. but as of today have decided to give up on it. I really miss the Rita's group, CBR is not the same anymore, I will only be on CCR now.
I am a fan of wonder woman, she hulk, avengers, archie and static. Disappointed they are canceling the current She-Hulk, the current status of Wonder Woman is not great and looking forward to the new Avengers Movie. Have seen the last one over 20 times. I never registered again. I go there and read threads once a while but have no interest in participating. I was reading a video game thread earlier today and in the first three pages (taking place within a month) there were seven separate posters banned. I see a lot locked threads with a staggering amount of moderators unwilling to try to redirect threads and give posters a chance to get back on track before they lock them. It doesn't seem like a welcoming place. It seems to be turning into the same elitist cult that the Bendis board became before it was put out of its misery. I find people's behavior increasing hard to understand. I spend little time on the internet much anymore for entertainment. It's more become a tool for information searches, GPS, banking/bill paying, managing my netflix DVDs and shopping. The internet has changed the world a lot. And I think it did it so insidiously that a lot of people never take notice. Edit: oh and by the way welcome Ms Cheryl. How are the She Hulks after Slott's run on Vol 2, which is where I left off. I've read every title previous to that, except Red She Hulk, whose chronological order I am unaware of. I think Slott's done the best She Hulk period. |

But I was trying to read a thread and having trouble following the discussion, until I realized that people were quoting and referring to posts that were no longer there. Kinda hard to follow a discussion when a lot of the posts are deleted. And the chat thread over there is soulless. So when I heard that Puma had given up, I decided to follow suit. |

Thanks for the welcome, the current She Hulks are wonderful, Charles Soule writer, great story lines and art work. I do not have any of the Slott ones, trying to locate some volumes now, right now I have the Savage She Hulk with Kraft writing, very witty. I agree with CBR becoming unwelcoming and elitist, I was only doing the cover contest and avoided everything else. You know it is almost over when Puma is not tallying the contests anymore. |
