Hi, new member here. My name is Michael. I have been collecting off & on for almost 30 years. I recently started collecting again after a lull of about 9 years, from the time my daughter was born until she started showing interest in comic books herself.  My collection contains primarily Hulk titles and guest spots, and Star Wars. Overall I prefer Marvel to DC for my superhero fix, but I did read a few Batman stories in the late 80s-early 90s. I look forward to participating in the forums! Welcome aboard! What type of comic books does your daughter like? I have a 9 year-old who loves My Little Pony, but she also reads Marvel Team-Up, Marvel Two-In-One, Avengers (the original stuff), and pretty much anything else I give her (usually books that I've replaced with better copies in my own collection, but also $1 books that I forgot to cross off my want list and get duplicates of). |

She likes The Simpsons (has loved the cartoon forever), but also zombie books--- iZombie, Marvel Zombies, etc. I have just pulled my collection out of the closet over the last few weeks so she can look at some of those. Most of my collection is Hulk and Star Wars, but I also have other miscellaneous comics from the 2001-2005 period. I think I have another box around here somewhere as well, but it must be in another closet. She loves to go to the comic book store, though, so she will soon develop her own taste. I am encouraging her to explore different titles. |

I’ve had a lifelong love affair with comics, manga, literature, cinema, theatre, television; especially all things horror and sci-fi. I’m so happy to be here amongst a group of other comic lovers, and look forward becoming more involved in the community.
