Hey all. Warm, fuzzy greetings from Illinois. I ran across this forum by a Facebook page post and thought that this sounded like a nice place to play.
I picked up reading comics a few years back after putting them down in the mid 90's. While I do buy new comics every Wednesday, I gotta admit that I have a thing for bronze and silver age. This past year I've gotten into snagging up Brave and the Bold and various DC titles. Recently, I've gotten into Captain America to see who he really was before the whole Hail Hydra thing. 'Merica!
I'm slowly learning why those 2 ages are great. My knowledge isn't up to par yet, but I'm learning. IMHO, those time periods are better than so much that is coming out now. There wasn't an Internet then.
I'm also a Wolverine fan and have collected just about every issue of his own title. Yay for snikt.
By day I'm an electrician, but at night...I'm a tired electrician hanging out with my wife and critters. Glad to be here.

Welcome to the forum, modokismisunderstood! Can we call you "mo" for short?
You've come to the right place for Silver/Bronze age Batman, Captain America and Wolverine. There's an ongoing Silver Age Captain America review thread on the Classic Comics Discussion board now.

New here and love what I see. I am an 80s kid that grew up on all the cartoons and mostly Marvel books. My town is small and we had zero shops and now we have 3 very strong shops. I love back issue bins and recollecting X Men and X Men related books. Also collect Tattoos and work in prosthetics.

Working with prosthetics must be very interesting and fascinating job of the stuff that they do. Happy that you are here and able to join us too.

Hi all!
My name is Chris. Ive joined this forum during a search of a missing issue of a Conan comic. I was lead here after some jpegs I found of the story ''The three deaths of Conan'' and got the feeling that members here look pretty well informed. My sad story is that I ve lent one of my favourite issues to a guy that have never returned it to me and ive been trying to find it since then with no luck. This happened before 15 years... ill give a description hoping that will ring a bell to someone. Well ill give you the details now but I know it wont be easy cause I dont remember much. The comic was in black and white. The artist that illustrated that issue I think he have never done another story of Conan. His technik was really dark and brutal and the faces of the of characters were looking more like demons than humans. For sure he wasnt one of the classics but I cant remember his name. The first story of the issue was about Conan defending a fort against an horde of Hyperborean tribe. A theme that wasnt appearing often. I know that I havent gave you much info about it but I really hope that someone can help me find it! Thank you!

Hi. My name's Roger. I've been reading comics since about Fantastic Four #70, but starting collecting monthly with FF 93 when I fell in love with the late-era Lee and Kirby stuff. I was a die hard Marvel junkie from 1969 to 1977, when I decided to step away from comics before my senior year in high school. I got back into comics when I was in graduate school in 1989 after I picked up a trade paperback collection of the Dark Phoenix Saga. The old magic was still there, even though things had changed quite a bit. I've been reading on and off since then. I sold all of my old monthlies back in the early 2000s, spent several years dabbling in trades and hardcovers, and I've been reading digitally on a regular basis since 2012. While I still have great fondness for the Marvel characters, my current reading is almost all independents and creator-owned books. But I still dig into digital back issues of my favorite runs when the mood strikes. I grew up mainly in California and Texas, but currently live in Oregon.
