Hello, I'm originally from Scotland but have lived and worked all over the world which has made collecting tricky at times, but now I am semi-retired so I have been able to get back into things. Currently, I am a big lover of Batwoman and Wonder Woman and just adore the DC Bombshells. Can't get enough of them. ~Willow I visited Scotland in 1994 and again back in 2003 exploring the central part of Scotland the area of Aberdeen, Perth, and St. Andrews while staying in Edinburgh for a good period of 1 week each visit. Fascinating Countryside and great places to walk and roam around. I'm a fan of Wonder Woman and the DC Bombshells as well and happy to have some here with some common interests. Welcome to CCF.

Welcome to the forum, @willow. I'm from England, myself (I live just to the west of London), but I've been to Scotland a number of times. I've visited Edinburgh twice, Glasgow once and I've stayed for a week in the highlands, not far from Loch Ness, as well.
As for your dislike of digital comics, you'll find plenty of likeminded people here and quite a few who have fully embraced the digital revolution too, of course.

Been to London a lot Wonderful city, a bit too crowded for my tastes though. I'm from up near Inverness, you know where we only have two seasons. Winter and August. Nice to meet you!

Hello,
I am very happy to find such a place, devoted to classic comics. Thank you very much to the creators of this website.
By the past, I was no more than a reader of modern comics, but I have started to collect Marvel classics, with a preference for the Avengers and the FF - and now, I'd like to discuss with other fans and collectors.
I lived in France, and it is not always easy to find what I'm looking for, although we have some very good comic shops, in Paris and in several big towns. Happily I travel sometimes to the UK, for my job.
See you soon !

Welcome to the forum jeanmichel. I'm from the UK myself -- just outside of London, to the West. I love France -- and Paris in particular -- and have visited many times. Hope you enjoy your time here. See you on the boards!

I don't look at this thread as often as I should, so just wanted to add my welcome to all the new members.

Hi all, new poster here. Found this board by reading shaxper's great Batman review thread.
I'm a fan of just about anything 80's comics, from Spidey to Batman, X-Men, Alan Moore, etc. I read some newer stuff as well.
I work in the entertainment industry, and am starting to write my own comic when I find some spare time. Looking forward to some good conversations with all of you here.

Hello everyone. I've been a lurker for a number of years, but only now decided to finally register an account here.
I started collecting comics when I was in kindergarten, far back in 1992/93 (In hindsight, a pretty crappy time to get into comics.). I didn't take very good care of my collection as a kid, and as a result, I don't have very many of those comics anymore. In the past couple years, though, I've been making some effort to rebuild my collection. It's been slow-going, but I've managed to accrue a number of trade paperbacks and some individual issues.
I'm primarily a fan of older comics — Bronze Age to early Modern Age comics, in particular. I still will read newer comics, but only if they've been published by companies other than DC & Marvel; I've become fed up with how the Big Two treat their characters and refuse to read their recent titles.

Welcome to the community, Duragizer! I feel your pain about the early '90s. I got into comics in '89 and similarly feel like I was cheated out of something by beginning at that time. And, also like you, I never ever read the new stuff. I'd be curious to hear more about your progress in rebuilding your collection. I will say that I learned the hard way to be picky about what I acquire. It took having nearly 10,000 comics overtaking an entire floor of my house for me to realize the need to do that...
