I'd never heard of him before, but now I really want somebody to bring Doctor Dill back. He's an evil genius, a criminal mastermind, Namor's arch-enemy (in his only appearance) . . . and he gets around town on a bicycle! How cool is this guy?

Obviously you're the one putting in the work and should get the final say, but I'd rather keep it simpler. One poster, one vote, and of course in bold. I agree. For me, part of the fun is selecting that one perfect/favorite cover from an inevitably crowded field.

For me, part of the fun is selecting that one perfect/favorite cover from an inevitably crowded field. Ditto--also it avoids the possibility that the cover w/ the most first place votes doesn't win. People can still, as they sometimes do now, acknowledge other favorites in there voting post or with a "Like."

I'll echo the thoughts of others as to not changing the voting patterns on the contest.
I usally try to follow 2 tenets on these things-
1. K.I.S.S.-keep it simple, stupid, and adding the extra layer of voting (or anything requiring a spreadsheet be involved) seems to be added complexity without added benefit
2. If it ain't broke, don't fix it-and I don't see anything broken which the change is fixing, as others have said, you can acknowledge other good covers without voting for them.
A third factor is this, M.G. is the third host of the contest since we started less than a year and a half ago, and at some point he may step down, adding more work to the hosting job makes it less attractive for someone else to take over. M.G. may be willing to do the extra work, god love him, but in the long term, it's probably best to keep the hosting/tallying job as painless as possible.

Thanks to Phil for covering for me on this contest. Sorry, gang, but things got too crazy here for a while...but Phil's come up with a dynamite theme, and if I win again some day, I won't let you down again!

The Brotherhood of Giant Evil Mutants, featuring the Green Witch! "How silly! Her costume doesn't even match her name!"

I think this week sets a new high (see what I did there?) in difficulty in choosing which entry I'm going to vote for.

A terrific theme Phil. I had several covers I was playing with, but I am digging giant Krypto because well, it's giant Krypto...

lots of great choices this week, four contenders but it came down to bert or Arthur Gordon Scratch and the classic Bat-cover edged out the Spectre for me.
