You all deserve to win this week. Well done, everyone!... And kudos to Fillmore Phil Maurice for a really fun topic! It brought out the best in us. As many have already noted, there was an abundance of riches this week--loved seeing all those gorgeous covers featuring Wonder Woman, Spectre, Batman, Teen Titans, the Green Witch, looming Dooms, and others. Congrats to jodoc...and looking forward to seeing what he has in store for us. |

 Ross Andru & Mike Esposito Hondobrode posted a WW cover by the Andru-Esposito team (and so did I, great minds think alike!). I've read that Andru drew criticism because his women's faces weren't pretty-pretty like Romita Sr.'s, but I have always loved how he depicted women's faces. It's not the focal point of hondo's cover  here, but look at the giant WW's bone structure--strong, sharp. Andru's men's faces were likewise strong and interesting (especially, IMO, when inked/enhanced by Esposito). |
