#21 Mary MarvelAlter Ego - Mary Willow Batson First Appearance Captain Marvel Adventures #18 (Dec. 1942) Golden Age and Bronze Age, I don't think that she had any references to the Silver Age.Costume Features that I like the mostSimple, Elegant, Great use of two colors - White (Predominant) with Gold Accent. I just loved her cape of white and gold trim. Very easy on the eyes and one of my favorites costumes on a woman in the Bronze Age of Comics. Gold Boots a big plus here! I've liked this version better than her red version in the Golden Age of Comics. BTW - Captain Marvel Jr. did not make this list. I'm actually not a fan of the white version of her costume (but I LOVE Jr's Blue one . . why didn't he make the list). For me, Mary should always be in the Red costume. . unless she's in the AWESOME black version:

For me, Mary should always be in the Red costume. . unless she's in the AWESOME black version: About Captain Marvel Jr.
He didn't make the list (but made my Golden Age List) because back then my preferences has changed and having said that - I was reading more Teen Titans, New Gods, Forever People, and I'm a fan of Mary Marvel 1st and then Captain Marvel 2nd. Captain Marvel Jr. became non-existence in the late sixties and that point on. About Mary Marvel's Red CostumeI got tired of it for awhile and wanted a change for her .... When they did this change - I prefer this look much, much, better than her red one and that separated all the Marvel's heroes by a single color. Captain Marvel - Red, Mary Marvel - White, and Captain Marvel - Blue. About Mary Marvel's Black CostumeI don't know when this came into play - but it's didn't make the list why? ... I was working 65 hours a week from 1986 to 1990 for Boeing and did not read any comic books until 2002. This costume of which you said it was awesome was pretty much non-existence to me and therefore did not make my list. Having seen the picture you provided - I was shocked to see her in a Black Adam's like costume and was stunned by this. To be honest with you I wasn't expecting to see this and yet can't make a honest opinion of it. That's all I have to say.

The black costume is very definitely from the modern age/Dark Age when DC editors got off (repeatedly) on turning the nicest and most wholesome female superhero into a dominatrix.

#20 Power GirlAlter Ego - Kara Zor-L / Karen Starr First Appearance All Star Comics #58 (January/February 1976) Bronze Age Costume Features that I like the mostShe was difficult to place in this line-up but I have to say this I like her blue gloves and boots and along with her red cape with references to Superman. However, it was too plain of a costume and let alone the simplicity and the obvious sex-appeal that attracted a lot of attention those days; to be honest with all of you here the older that I got I've feel that the obvious became the distraction and that's brought it down to #20. I had a very difficult time to decide this and I've love the overall appeal of the way they presented her in the first place. Picture 1 to 3From All-Star Super Squad; here's the cover of that Comic! Picture 4Coolest Picture of Power Girl in the Internet! ... I used Microsoft Paint to get the two pictures that I liked here!

Picture 1My favorite cover featuring Mera on an Aquaman's cover - Aquaman said it best! ... Will the real Mera please stand up! Pictures 2 to 4Great Splash Page Romantic Picture of Aquaman and Mera ... I read a lot of Aquaman back in those days and I was very attracted to Mera for her ravishing red hair. I'm a sucker for ladies in red hair and still do!

I actually preferred the 1977-1987 version with the plunging neckline to the one with the boob window. Of course, either were better than the monstrosities she wore in the 90s...

Always liked Mera's exotic look with the crown and her flowing red hair. Plus the flippers made sense on her costume, since she spent most of her time underwater.
Prefer the red/yellow look for Mary Marvel.
Always liked Huntress's look with elements of both her parents' looks.
I liked the Power Girl costume with the window. Very 70s and her bubble haircut back then was unique among all the long haired heroines.
Isis's costume was pretty with the ornate bracelets, headband, and neckpiece.

The problems in making a list of Superheroes - you often forget about the other costumes that the character wore throughout the years and I stand corrected - this version is much better than the version that I've originally have presented in the first place. My bad, my bad ... this is the version that I wanted in the first place! ... Because of the addition of yellow in all the right places!
