I actually preferred the 1977-1987 version with the plunging neckline to the one with the boob window. Of course, either were better than the monstrosities she wore in the 90s... The problems in making a list of Superheroes - you often forget about the other costumes that the character wore throughout the years and I stand corrected - this version is much better than the version that I've originally have presented in the first place. My bad, my bad ... this is the version that I wanted in the first place! ... Because of the addition of yellow in all the right places! It's weird...Power Girl wore that outfit for about ten years between 1977 and 1987, far longer than she wore her original one which basically lasted just a handful of issues of All-Star Comics. She wore it in the latter half of the All-Star run, in several JLA/JSA team-ups, in Infinity Inc, in early issues of Justice League Europe, in Crisis on Infinite Earths and even in her own four issue limited series. And yet since the boob window returned a few years ago, it seems like the whole world has forgotten that the plunging neckline version ever existed.

I learned today that if you say "boob window!" three times, Power Girl shall appear.

I like Lady Blackhawk costume for the same reasons as MechaGodzilla. Not a fan of the Martian Manhunter's costume, sorry. I do like the Isis costume, too. A shame that the terrorist organization has usurped a name that I fondly associate with 70's TV. The Huntress costume is one of my favorites. I'll admit to having a weakness for purple. Big Barda...what is it with Kirby and outrageous headgear?? Mary Marvel - I do like the white costume. While the red & yellow Captain Marvel costume is one of my all time favorites or any era, I like the white Mary Marvel costume because it differentiates her from Cap. Plus, the white & yellow has a clean (and dare I say pure?) look.

#20 Power GirlAlter Ego - Kara Zor-L / Karen Starr First Appearance All Star Comics #58 (January/February 1976) Bronze Age Costume Features that I like the mostShe was difficult to place in this line-up but I have to say this I like her blue gloves and boots and along with her red cape with references to Superman. However, it was too plain of a costume and let alone the simplicity and the obvious sex-appeal that attracted a lot of attention those days; to be honest with all of you here the older that I got I've feel that the obvious became the distraction and that's brought it down to #20. I had a very difficult time to decide this and I've love the overall appeal of the way they presented her in the first place. I actually preferred the 1977-1987 version with the plunging neckline to the one with the boob window. Of course, either were better than the monstrosities she wore in the 90s... I prefer the plunging neckline to the boob window, which just looks cheesy and gratuitous, also. By the way, that JLA cover is one of the first JLA comics I ever bought, and brings back some wonderful memories.

#18 HawkgirlAlter Ego - Shiera Sanders Hall First Appearance Flash Comics #1 (January 1940) Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages Costume Features that I like the mostGood use of Red, Yellow, and Green. Loved the Boots, the Red Briefs with Yellow Trim ... along with the Yellow Top as well. Great Hawk Mask and nice use of Colors in the design. Loved the Grey Wings too! Great Pictures of HawkgirlSome artists prefer the Brown Wings - I think Grey works better!
