Firestorm: Great colors, great design. I will always prefer the Ronnie/Professor Stein version of Firestorm. His costume's bright colors reflect not only the youtful fun of the character but also he is a force to be reckoned with. The flaming hair, the blank eyes....like he is something not of this world. The banter between Stein and Ronnie was always fun to read and Pat Broderick's art was perfect for the 80s title. I am guessing Al Milgrom designed the costume in the 70s. If he did, kudos to him for such an innovative design that has no need for an update. Perfect in 2015 as it was in 1978. I like how the Flash tv show incorporated the chest emblem into the costume. Robbie Amell makes a great Ronnie Raymond. Hope we see more of him, even though the tv version is more mature than the high school kid pining over Doreen!

I do think that the Fury costume is very good. First, I love the red & yellow combination. Second, the boots, belt, and gloves all look great. The head covering is also better looking than most others of its kind, such as the Scarlet Witch. While the lack of symmetry of her golden breast plate on her left side bothers me, I do admit that it is clever in that it also hearkens to the lack of symmetry in a toga, and in addition recalls the Amazons' habit of cutting off one breast (though I think it was the other breast) so that it would not interfere with their archery.
I'm not as fond of the Maxima costume. First, I really dislike the bare midriff look (damn you, Britney Spears!). Also, this costume also has a bothersome lack of symmetry, without Fury's mitigating circumstances. Still, it does have its pluses, such as the color scheme and a pretty cool, somewhat majestic looking cape.

Another Favorite Picture of the Flash Who ever thought of this design - DC Comics should had adopt it because it's incorporated Jay's Steel Helmet into the design mode. I just loved this design personally! JOHN WESLEY SHIPP was the 1st Television Flash GRANT GUSTIN is the 2nd Television Flash Flash is worthy at Number 9

#8 Supergirl, The Girl of SteelAlter Ego - Kara Zor-El First Appearance Action Comics #252 (May 1959) Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages Costume Features that I like the mostOf all the costumes that Supergirl wore throughout her tenure at DC Comics - I consider this one is the most stylish, modern, hip, and most of all easy on the eyes and sported a more All-American Girl look that I like. It's fantastic because the Red, Yellow, and Blue are pleasing to the eyes and most of all - not one dominating color that's the beauty of this creation. Her Debut on a Comic Book!I still have this book! Cute Pictures of Supergirl - the Next two!Above was used a Splash Page These are my favorite pictures of her. Picture 4Original Look and still a winner in my book!

The Flash's costume is another big favorite of mine. Sleek & "speedy" looking, plus the red & yellow color combination I love so much. It's probably number one on my "superhero I'd like to go as for Halloween" list. That costume probably the main reason I was a fan of his, but I also have a weakness for speedsters.
Supergirl's costume is pretty good. The small "S" off to the side is different. I prefer the skirt to the shorts.

One could almost argue that Captain Marvel is Golden Age and Bronze Age (and up) only, as he spent the entire Silver Age in legal Limbo.

JOHN WESLEY SHIPP was the 1st Television Flash GRANT GUSTIN is the 2nd Television Flash Not exactly. Dan Aykroyd (SNL)
And Rod Haase (Legends of the Superheroes)
have them beat by a few years. Ken Johnston played The Flash in the unsuccessful 1997 pilot Justice League of America. Do yourself a favor and never watch Legends or Justice League. They will make you cry.

LOL, looks like if you're s superhero you can't go wrong with predominantly red costume adorned with a lightning bolt insignia--just ask Captain Marvel and the Flash (Barry Allen).

I did watch the LEGENDS OF SUPERHEROES once at my dear friend place and I don't recognize Ken Johnston as the Flash at that point and it's was a two-part special that's was so incredibly bad it was beyond description. I just can't imagine Adam West, Burt Ward, and Frank Gorshin ever did this in the first place. Those three were involved in it too.
