I've always liked the Scarlet Witch's costume, though, in typical Kirby fashion, some outrageous headgear is included.

Love that Ms. Marvel costume. It's striking, sexy and very memorable. One of the best female costumes that Marvel have ever produced. The black one? I only seem to like it when Frank Cho draws it - unless someone else drew that panel where she's flying. But whoever does it, I agree that it's better than the original one based on the old Mar-Vell costume. Yeah, the black one with the yellow lightning bolt and red waist sash. I think it's a classic design who ever's drawing it.

Forbush Man Presents - at Number 10Alter Ego - Mar-Vell First AppearanceMarvel Super-Heroes #12 (December 1967) Silver and Bronze Ages of Comics Costume Features that I like the mostI just loved the Cosmic feel of this costume - the dark blue harmonize with the red with a touch of yellow makes it's grand and I just loved the star insignia on his chest and that mask that he wears. The gold bands around his wrist is a much added bonus and that's makes him very unique to see. This superhero called Mar-Vell has always been a sentimental favorite of mine and that's why I like the overall design of one of the coolest costume around. Two Great Images of Mar-VellI just loved his Mask and Overall Concept of his costume here! Two Cosmic Charged Images of Mar-VellThe Main Reason why I like this costume is the added touch of many yellow stars when he flies around and that's makes him very unique and that's why it's a winner in my book! And, a favorite of mine in the sixties when I was reading Marvel Comics!

This is certainly better than Captain Marvel's original, green and white Kree officer costume, which I found a bit bland. Good thing they changed it.

I love Strange's classic look, once he got the Cloak of Levitation and everything, but like you, I hated the face-mask version from the late '60s. There were some good stories during that era, but man....that costume was baaaaaad. Oh, and nobody draws Dr. Strange like Steve Ditko drew Dr. Strange. It's all in the fingers, dontcha know.

Dr. Strange: I never really read many of his stories, but his costume screams 60s/70s occult to me, haha! The cape, the tunic with the odd design...his look reminds of someone from a mid 70s Hammer horror movie.
Captain Marvel: One of the very best. The red and blue with the starburst design is classic cosmic super hero. He has a very commanding, striking presence. Like late 60s/early 70s Robert Redford. One of Marvel's best designs ever.
Scarlet Witch: mysterious, yet very feminine and pretty--especially when drawn by Don Heck. It's a very delicate costume for one so powerful. The headpiece in the early days looks like it would limit her sight, but as time progressed it became much more functional and a unique look. I always thought Scarlet Witch would be a naturally pretty lady in real life. Like a European princess. A lady that would need minimal make up.
Wolverine: I prefer the yellow and blue costume over the brown one. Bright colors, the claws, the mask....all classic Marvel. The design on the costume echoes the claws. Interesting too, that Wolverine is drawn (for the most part) as being very short. His stature and wild hair do reflects the scrappy, feral nature of his animal namesake. Hugh Jackamn did a wonderful job bring Wolverine to life on screen, even though he is very tall.
Marvel Girl: another pretty, feminine design. I like the off the shoulder dress and the domino mask. The green compliments her red hair. A classy, pretty look.

I love the Doc Strange cape. That makes the costume for me. I don't mind the face mask, it does make him look mysterious, but I prefer him without it.

I'm surprised that this is coming in at a measly #8. Which Marvel heroes have a better costume than Spidey's? As far as I'm concerned, none of 'em.

Spider-Man: This costume is perfect. Stylish, functional, and fun. One would think they would have went with darker colors for a spider themed hero, but I am glad it is red and blue. Spider-Man always seemed to inspire hope. No matter how bad things got for him, he hung in there spouting wisecracks at his detractors. The colors reflect the lightness to his personality. The mask is perfect with its unique eye shapes and web-design. I would probably rank this one as #1 I am interested in seeing the rest of the costumes and see who topped Spidey!
