If I have any complaints about Jimmy it is that he's a little too old and a little too competent. We'll see what awaits "Mr. Action." If the other guy in the office is still around by Christmas, I'll be surprised. Except this is a Jimmy who has been around about 10 years covering Superman and then gone on to find his own way based on the timeline given in Kara's origin here for how long Superman was active before she arrived and then grew to adulthood. So assuming he is cub reporter/photographer fresh out of college he was 22 when Supes debuted and the Jimmy in this show would be in his early 30s most likely, so older and having gained competence through experience fits. -M

I'm actually fine with this Jimmy. Once I can accept a black Perry why not Jimmy as well? Plus his being older somewhat justifies his new hunk status.

As far as Jimmy/James goes, I don't really care as long as he's a good actor. Which, so far, he seems to be. Everything else is irrelevant.
And after seeing the first episode, I enjoyed it. For now at least, it's on the "watch" list.

Pretty decent first episode. I think it will be an entertaining series. The actress that plays Supergirl is perfect for the role.

I liked the guy playing Jimmy, though it did throw me a bit as from what little we saw of Superman it looked like the costume from the movie and in the movie Jimmy was white, but I suppose just because the suit looked the same it doesn't mean the show is supposed to take place in the movie's world so I;m okay with it.

As if young Wesley was bad enough you had to remind me of this version. At least Wil Wheaton on Big Bang Theory is funny and tolerable.

The 2nd Show was much better and I hope it's continue to succeed - I like her youthfulness and eagerness in the part of Supergirl.

I thought the most recent episode (11/23) was a big step up from the last few. Having Kara join the DEO feels tacked on and using Max Lord as a stand in for Luthor feels kind of cheap, but I'm liking the Hank Henshaw mystery.

Latest episode (one with the super train), was just aweful. If the star wasn't just so damned adorable I'd be out now.

Finally watched the first episode tonight. LOVE Benoist in the lead role and was generally impressed with the cast, visuals and directing, but man that writing was weak. Hoping it improves over time.

Next episode is where Supergirl gets a dose of red kryptonite. Should be interesting to see Kara stand up to Cat Grant as they showed in the promo. Rumors are still flying about a crossover into the Flash/Arrow world. I can't see CBS doing that. I kind of hope CBS drops the show in hopes that CW will pick it up. I would support a team up with Kara, Berry, & Ollie.

and using Max Lord as a stand in for Luthor feels kind of cheap, Yeah the final controntal scene with Lord & Supergirl reminded me of an early Luthor/Superman scene in Lois & Clark.
