Has that ever caused any paint damage for you? If not, I'll try that. Thank you for the suggestion. No, it's never caused paint damage for me. Hopefully that will help. I tried your suggestion yesterday, and it worked! I got both hands and the head out. Thanks! Unfortunately, the figure was designed so that the ball joint in the head came out inside the head instead of staying inside the body. I'm going to have to pull that out with pliers, I think. Great figure, but the head and hand swapping could use some work.

Here are a couple of cool figures that I've seen over the past couple days: This one would work pretty well if you needed a random soldier or henchman for any sort of display. I like the exclamation point and "zzz" attachments for the stand. It's definitely too expensive to army-build with, though. This one would work really well for a detective or other suit-wearing character. I don't know anything about the source material this figure is from, but it looks really cool. The window diorama sure is neat.

So I have been doing some research trying to identify a pair of action figures I picked up at a flea market about 13 years ago when I first moved out here-I had used them as D&D props/monsters (which is why I bought them) and paid like $1 each for them... no photo of mine but found this online... apparently they are Redlen from the Inhumanoids line from the mid 80s by Hasbro, and the grey variant is fairly rare (a MIB gray one is up on ebay for like $350). I had no clue what they were when I bought them (or really until about a half hour ago), I didn't even realize they took batteries until I saw the pic I found and read up on them. Need to clean mine up and see if they still work I guess. -M

I don't often go for Con exclusives and such, but the SDCC exclusive Wonder Woman and Invisible Jet toy from Mattel (MattyCollector) looks awesome... I am sure it will be being flipped for insane prices before SDCC is even over this year, so not going to shell out for it, but if a piece like that were ever available in general sale, I might heavily consider it. -M

One of these years I need to go to Mego Meet..

Looking back, I think this line was heavily inspired by Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos.

I wish there were more 6" scale helicopters (and vehicles in general). I was really impressed with this custom one, but I'm having trouble locating the toy used as a base. Next time I go to Walmart I'm planning to see if there are any suitable toy helicopters that I could repaint and customize.

There have been two 6" scale Star Wars vehicles announced in the past two days: Rey's speeder and Luke's speeder. I don't really collect Star Wars figures, but I hope this leads to Hasbro making some Marvel Legends vehicles too.

Recently sold off the last of my Star Wars action figures at our garage sale this year. I did keep my R2D2 with lights and sound effects plus a couple of comic themed micro machines though. I think if I was going to get back into collecting again I might start with Hasbro Marvel Legends, Masters of the Universe Classics and Transformers Masterpiece toys as I've been impressed with some of what I've seen online.

One of the greatest toy ever created. I wish I could afford one. It's incredible how screen accurate it is.

INCREDIBLE! How much is it? A guy brought one into the store in an episode of the TV series Comic Book Men and I think he wanted around $1200 for his. The ones I've found on ebay that are close to mint in the box have an asking price of between $4000 and $6000.
