Obligatory in-thread warning about tone. Nobody has stepped over the line yet, so let's try to make sure it stays that way. We have very firm rules here at the CCF about posters keeping a civil tone towards each other and being polite, even when they disagree.
'Nuff said!

After all of these decades of teenage Archie I want to see them take the Marvel plunge and do Old Man Archie and the gang. Let's see what those lovable old cranky curmudgeon's are up to in the nursing home with irritating the medical staff! There. I said it!

That's actually not a bad idea. They could also do alternate visions of it: humorous in the customary Archie style, but also more serious, giving due consideration to toll aging takes on our physical and mental health.

I have never had an emotional connection with Spider-Man. I don't get the appeal of a person that ended every story losing even though he won a battle. The entire , sad sack Aunt may sick always broke shunned by his peers character , always left me cold.
There I said it.

The entire , sad sack Aunt may sick always broke shunned by his peers character , always left me cold. There I said it. Count me in that number. The incessant whining always turned me off of Spider-Man comics, in the 70s; so, I read very few. The exception was Marvel Team-Up, which tended to play that aspect down, in favor of more wisecracking. The other thing that bugged me was that he was a scientific genius, who could cobble together some device to defeat a villain (not to mention maintain his web shooters) yet he had no other way of making money than sucking up to JJJ? Genius my hinder; he's an idiot. Sell one of those things for some serious money. Go to work for Stark or something. It has to pay better than freelance photography.

The only explanation for him staying as a photog is that he's unsupervised and can beat up frogman.

Are man-sized mutant turtles that fight crime really not superheroes? I say they are.
