The famous ad: "My Metamucil Ain't Working!" First post here, so hopefully I don't muck this up. It reminds me a lot of Action Comics #539 (Jan '83), although it was almost 2 years after the Legion cover. Welcome to the forum, boredatwork.

Hey folks, make sure if you are posting a cover that is not your entry for the week, you clearly label it as such to make voting and tallying easier.

I'm afraid that I have to be extra careful in tabulating the votes this time around and this is a killer contest with so many worthy covers - whoever wins it will be richly rewarded with a well-deserved victory!

Until a black-hearted crew of varlets rides in on the wave to plunder yon rich rewards from the scurvy dog of a winner and hangs him (or her) from the yards for daring to so boldly proclaim the crew pirates. Yon winner looks fat with plunder, let's take 'em boys! -M

"THE PIRATE WHO PLUNDERED ATLANTIS"...classic Jim Aparo cover I was actually looking for this one to enter, when i remembered that Adventure also hosted the "Supergirl vs Space Pirates" story I decided to go with instead

Neat! That's a cover I've never seen before (and a title that I know of only vaguely). Deciding where my vote goes this week is going to be impossible. I might need to resort to drawing a name out of a hat.

You just gotta love a pirate that climbs up a 10 story mass with one hand occupied with a torch.

I decided to go with a particularly hell-worn version of this cover as it seemed rather apt. Giant cephalapod, old school diving helmet, skeleton pirate, hook drawing blood from man's chest.. lot of elements I'm digging here.

Kid porn if there ever was : Blood, hook, skeleton, beasts, octopus, skull, gold, add to that the words "Weird", "terror", "ghostly", "spine-chilling", "terror", and a red price tag of a mere 10c!!! the old 4-13 year old me would have been all in! Still might be...
