One of my all time favorite "babe" covers. Courtesy of Jay Scott Pike

I love that in this run of Adventure they did this to them like three different times. Right--according to Shooter, Weisinger gave his writers instructions to "recycle" the following plots every couple of years or so: 1) baby Legionnaires 2) female Legionnaires take over 3) Super-Pets Surely 'a traitor joins the Legion to destroy it' should be on that list as well?

Oh yes, absolutely! Great point. I was just listing what Shooter mentioned in a particular interview (he said Weisinger kept a list of stories that sold well). Shooter said he's lucky he escaped having to write a baby Legionnaires tale, but he did do stories for the second and third listed above. There are definitely other frequently-appearing premises, as you state. I loved the incarcerated Legionnaires epics (such as the Super-Stalag of Space two-issue story, or the "Outlaw Legion" story in #359-360). EDIT: Sorry, forgot which thread I was in! Will post any further LSH musings here: classiccomics.boards.net/thread/2686/interlac-spoken-legion-heroes-thread

Is this what they call an 'underground' comic? Got to love Lulu on this cover...

Is this what they call an 'underground' comic? Got to love Lulu on this cover... Yes, it would be an underground comic. It was the first comic produced entirely by women. It was published in 1970 by Last Gasp.

I don't wanna be "that guy" but Jez said it had to be at least 2 babes on the cover.

Another great theme! Only one babe here, but more than that would probably be breaking a law. And I do mean babe... Oh Charlton, is it a sin to exploit your own exploitation for the sake of comic cover contest?
