I'm happy to let whoever is the next person who hasn't voted to cast a tie-breaker between myself, MatthewP, and Slam.

I just don't know what to do with this and I suggest that we should extend the voting process another day? ... To break the three way tie for 1st place? ... What mrp said in his 1st paragraph makes a lot of sense here and I'm favor of that.

No need to extend it a set time, just until the next person who hasn't voted yet casts a vote to break the tie among the 3, no other votes needed. -M

The way it used to be done is that the next person to vote who hasn't voted before can vote for one of the the three members who are tied to break the tie. It take some time, you have to be patient, as people need to log in and see the tie and vote if they haven't, but that's the way the tie breaker has been done before. Used to be? When did that change? The Sudden Death rule was always in effect here, I thought, just like the CBR Cover Contest its duplicating.

Pip and I used it when we both oversaw it, but since then ties have been handled a few different ways from what I gather. -M

Mrp is right. The next vote for one of the three, decides it.

I dunno, I've been playing right along since I joined up months and months ago and never noticed any other kind of tie-breaker being used. **shrugs**
I guess I was equally unaware anyone was "overseeing this". I thought it was a community contest.

I thought it was a community contest.By overseeing I just mean taking the point on tallying up votes, contacting winners etc. There were a few ties that were settled via PM I guess with one of the other vote-getters letting the other one have the victory or some such. But it is what it is and as long as everyone's having fun and it keeps chugging along... -M

Since I haven't voted yet, I will break the three-way tie by voting for foxley, although the other two were certainly worthy challengers.
