Another great theme! Only one babe here, but more than that would probably be breaking a law. And I do mean babe... Oh Charlton, is it a sin to exploit your own exploitation for the sake of comic cover contest? Wow! That thought bubble really influences the artwork, doesn't it? It's a much different piece without it.

I don't wanna be "that guy" but Jez said it had to be at least 2 babes on the cover. Thanks for pointing that out, just changed my submission.

Book probably inspired Benny Mardones and that 'Into the Night' song....she's just 16 years old....leave her alone they say....

Or Johnny Burnette's "You're Sixteen You're Beautiful (and you're mine)." I think there are actually quite a few statutory rape songs like that.

Is sixteen underage all over the US, then? It's the legal age of consent in the UK! You can be married at 16 (should you for some reason choose to).

In the U.S. it varies from 16-18. It's the leering, let's say rapacious, look of those four guys behind the apparently willing 16 year old girl which really suggest the icky intent of this cover. Unless its as mdg wryly says, and the boys are the true exploited!

Maybe the Teen Confession should be from the boy in blue who has clearly peed himself.

So even though Jez said in order for the cover to qualify the cover needed at least 2 babes on the cover. I see lots of covers with only 1 babe. If it doesn't matter I will go back to my original cover I chose.

It matters to me. I won't vote for a cover that doesn't follow the rules.

I always say, post whatever cover you want, and let the voters decide if it fits the criteria. There have been plenty of contests where people posted great covers that I didn't vote for because I didn't think it really fit the contest criteria as I saw it. Some of those covers even won the contest despite not following the rules as I was interpreting them. But hey, no big deal from my perspective.
