What looks interesting? Well at some point I will likely get/try/think about...
Dark Horse Rebels Vol. 1 The Rook Vol. 1 the BRRD Hell on Earth Vol. 13?
DC Legends of Tomorrow -anthologies are nice Gotham by Midnight Vol. 2 (after I get Vol. 1 at some point) Supergirl Silver Age omnibus Astro City: Lovers Quarrel
possibly the Ace the Bathound plushy
UFOlogy from BOOM looks interesting too, but I know nothing about it other than the solicit, so I might look into it.
I wish the Titan info had their offerings other than Dr. Who included though.

With the cover price being $7.99 for Legends of Tomorrow, and it including 4 full sized issues, you would be paying what you would if you bought Metamorpho and Metal Men separately essentially.

Image Black Magick Vol. 1 Paper Girls Vol. 1 Tokyo Ghosts Vol. 1 (maybe, more for Murphy art than Remender writing)
Dynamite Project Superpowers Blackcross Vol. 1 (maybe, it's Ellis but not something I am dying to read even with a Tula Lotay cover)
Marvel Dr. Strange #6 other than that, I have unlimited so it takes a lot to get me to purchase individual issues-but Power Man and Iron Fist #2 and Black Widow #1 are on my radar
Captain America omnibus (new printing) Captain America Man without a Country Epic Collection (the Waid/Garney run)
and not included here but the April solicitation for it was released today too-Black Panther #1 by Caotes and Stelfreeze. I am getting a print sub for this as soon as it is offered by Marvel.

Some good marvel collections this month, but all stuff I have. Nice to see 2 Epics, though.. even if I have the comics for both. Now if only they could stop reprint $1 material in Marvel Masterworks...
Also cool to see them actually following through on Priest's Black Panther.. I how they do the the same with Thunderbolts (Though calling it 'Hawkeye and the Thunderbolts offends me a bit).
I may pick up the Rogue Squadron Epic.. I haven't really read those... any good?

If you're referring to the Ms. Marvel collection, you haven't seen what some of the issue sin that ruin are going for lately have you? The Mystique issues have been pricey for quite a while and #1 is up over the $50 in mid to high grade, higher for top grades, and you are looking at $10 a pop in high grade each for any issue of the run from online sellers. It hasn't been dollar bin fare for nearly a decade and prices all shot up even more when the movie was announced. As for calling it Hawkeye and the Thunderbolts, well Hawkeye was the main draw for me when it was coming out (other than Busiek) and if putting his name on it means it sells better and we get more collections like this because of it, I am all for it. -M

Really? I guess I haven't looked for them for a while (not my favorite character)... they USED to be in $1 bins.
I understand the marketing, and if it gets more people to read Kurt Busiek, then great, but it hurts my head a bit.

Here's something to remember about Bronze Age books now-when I started going to the lcs, Marvel was preparing for its 25th anniversary in '86 (25 years since FF #1). That was 29 years ago. Ms. Marvel #1 is 35+ years old, i.e. older now than FF #1 was when I started collecting and was selling for a few thousand dollars in high grade in the collector's market, and there were far fewer copies of Bronze Age books printed than Silver Age books. Demand is still higher than for the Bronze Age stuff, but it is not surprising that prices on Bronze Age originals are rising and collections of that material are becoming more common. It is far more relevant nostalgia wise to adults buying comics now in the target demographics than Silver Age material and finding anything but beat up low grade copies of that stuff in dollar bins is becoming rarer and rarer each passing year.

But I've definitely seen stuff from Fantastic Four vol. 17, Marvel Team-Up Vol. 2, Defenders vol. 5 and Captain America vol. 7 in dollar bins. Luke Cage and Ms. Marvel will be back there once movie/TV hype dies down.
But, mostly my complaint is that they've stopped reprinting the REALLY hard to find Golden and Atlas era stuff in Masterworks to concentrate on increasingly afordable superhero books.

Luke Cage and Ms. Marvel will be back there once movie/TV hype dies down. But, mostly my complaint is that they've stopped reprinting the REALLY hard to find Golden and Atlas era stuff in Masterworks to concentrate on increasingly afordable superhero books. Because the demand for that Golden Age stuff isn't there to make the volumes profitable. Again, the Bronze Age stuff is what the audience with disposable income looking to relive their childhood grew up with. That's what drove the growth of the Silver Age back issue market and the viability of Silver Age collections 15-20 years ago, but 15-20 years is a generation so the spotlight is moving a generation ahead in what is getting collected/marketed. And a lot of people looking for that stuff won't go to a comic shop or convention to buy singles, and buy it, but will shop places like Amazon for collections. Besides, Marvel makes no money when you buy affordable copies of back issues, they do when you buy collections, so if there is demand for the stuff they will capitalize on it. But where is the demand coming for obscure Golden Age stuff? (as much as I would love to see it too) -M

Really? I guess I haven't looked for them for a while (not my favorite character)... they USED to be in $1 bins. I understand the marketing, and if it gets more people to read Kurt Busiek, then great, but it hurts my head a bit. Well for the longest time Kirby's Fourth World stuff was dollar bin fodder (I got most of the issues for 50 cents or a dollar in mid to high grade form my lcs in 1987ish after reading Amazing Heroes #100, where he kept them in longboxes of comics in his basement that he considered unsellable at the time), but time passed they got more in demand and prices rose. Should I still consider them dollar bin fodder that shouldn't go for high prices or be collected because that's how I first encountered them, or do I accept that things change and my perspectives are colored by how I first encountered them not their current reality? -M
