Huh. I really liked Mighty Avengers - which made it the first 616 Avengers book I've really liked in 30 years. Ultimates is the same creative team? It's Joe Ewing, yes.. and mostly the same roster (The dropped Power Man and White Tiger for Miss America, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther). I'm not sure about the artist.

Oh, cool. I... have no idea who Miss America or Captain Marvel are now-a-days. And I always liked the White Tiger. But still, cool.

Miss America is from Young Avengers.. she's not all that interesting, IMO, but alot of people like her. He punches things.. really hard. Like, into other dimensions. Captain Marvel is Carol Danvers (she got promoted a couple years back)

Maybe so, but in that case, I'm pretty sure it's due to the artist being a complete newbie regarding monthly schedules and realizing his art looks like shit under that kind of schedule... Karnak will be out in February, they have stated that there are circumstances in the artist's personal life.

I read the first couple Young Avengers series with Ant-Girl, Hawkeye, Hulkling and etc. but I must not be current. I like the original Liberty Legion member Ms. Marvel quite a bit - And was always hoping for some reprints of her Golden Age stuff.

That was a while back. Ant-Girl died and then re-incarnated as a younger, non-superhero version for no particular reason. Hulking and Wiccan(Scarlet Witch's son) are all the cool kids favorite comic book same-sex couple. Miss America turned up after the black kid that was Kid Captain America turned traitor or something (I don't recall exactly). Young, non-Evil Loki was there, too.
Liberty Legion was fun.. it's too bad it didn't catch on.

Warren Ellis mentioned in his newsletter today that he is currently working on the script for issue #5 of Karnak, and the delays were nto due to him, then quoted Axel Alonso from his weekly Axel-in-Charge column discussing the delays and the issue on the artist's end. Looks like #2 will ship in February and hopefully be monthly after that? -M

The word 'Ms.' was not around in the 1940s.

Cassie Lang is supposed to be the same age now that she was in Young Avengers. Her actual codename was Stature, by the way. And Eli Bradley didn't turn traitor, he just retired from superheroing and moved away with his family.

Cassie Lang in the Ant-Man comic seemed alot younger to me... more like 11-12, where Stature(I assumed Reptilasaurus was just being snarky) was more like 15 or 16... I guess that could be the writing, though. I only vaguely remember what happened with Eli Bradley, so I'll take your word for it
