Came across this in Superman #245. Hadn't seen this sample of Curt Swan Superman faces but I had seen these from about ten years previous

Think there's a connection here? Strange Adventures 167, published in June 1964: And Marx Toys' Great Garloo, which hit the shelves in time for Christmas, 1961, with this commercial: I'm betting artist Jack Sparling and/or writer Dave Wood's kids had this toy, or at the very least, Wood saw the commercial and the magic happened. In fact, I will die on Garloo Hill! Huzzah! BTW, $17.98 in 2020 money = about $155. Wood must have figured he could get some of his money's worth from DC.

Did this comic book cover... "inspire" the designers of Bug-Out Bob?

Logo and title larceny? (1971 and 1976) I've become a real fan of Lee Holley over the past couple of years, picking up issues of Ponytail when I see them.

Did this comic book cover... "inspire" the designers of Bug-Out Bob? I say--yes. That's too close to be mere coincidence. Even the packaging's use of the predominant sky blue color it like that cover.
