Stumbled across this pulp from March 1940 to which Mort Weisinger contributed his regular "Thrills in Science" column. And it made me thought of this comic, which I bought off the stands around Thanksgiving, 1964: And the issue which featured this creature in 1960, by Siegel and Swan, edited, as you already know, by Weisinger.
